Yeah. I actually believe that TB'er @Vic did the review for Bass Gear magazine. I could be wrong though. And I seem to remember it also include a review of a STD model too.
I used to have the issue but I cleaned house a couple years ago and all of my bass related magazines were trashed.
Yes, we’re thinking of the same article, so I’m not crazy (or we both are). I’ll reach out to @tombowlus and see if he has a digital version of the article- we’re fb friends, so I’m sure he’ll drop everything to help me out ;)

You're half right. I did do a review in issue 5 of both the standard and signature, but the bass you guys are talking about is not the one I reviewed. I don't have a good picture of the one I did, but here's a crappy one to show the actual one I did...

Well there you go. I guess the bass is question was indeed reviewed by Bass Player magazine. I do remember that it was the first review since the infamous 1997 Bass Player magazine Shoot-out that both praised the sound and play ability of the Roscoe and criticized the sharp fret ends and neck pocket fit.
I could be incorrect (again) Vic but I believe that you ended up purchasing the STD Roscoe that you reviewed.

My new Roscoe 6er has changed my life. I'm so happy I got to trade for one and I'm so happy it was a 6er, now looking back. This bass can do anything and so well. I know I'm still in the honeymoon but I am dedicated to being proficient on this bass. I haven't touched a single other bass since receiving it.

It makes me want to try/gas for other Roscoes but honestly I think only one is all I need. This actually might be the only bass I need!

It might be. I really wanted my Roscoe 6 to be my only bass. I just couldn't make it work for me. Any of my Roscoes could be my only bass. Fortunately, I can have 3.
