Yeah, I just needed to "put it out there" as part of the "therapy" of GAS. :cool:
I would 100% miss my 2 basses that I've had for a long time (for me anyway) now. The fretted is honestly a "plays itself" bass. I don't have to look at the neck. I just play it. It's awesome. I've had it for over 8 years - a lifetime for me. Same with the fretless. It has a couple unique touches that make it special.

Those 2 and the classic P give me ALMOST everything I need. An active 5 string jazz (Century Plus with jazz pups) would be nice to add. And then maybe a passive classic 4 string jazz. :bassist:

I think those 5 would be it for me.

I joke, but I'm the same way. It's time for my 6 month changing batteries in basses, and I'm looking at them all (9 without the Roscoe) and I have no idea which ones to keep and which to get rid of. I have two listed in the classifieds at the moment, but I played them this morning just to check them out and I'm asking myself why am I trying to sell them? Too many good basses available... total first world problem :)

Yeah, first world problems for sure for all of us Roscoe owners. I just opened up a box with my new Yamaha MODX6 synth ($1,400) so I am tapped out for a while as far as gear purchases. Actually, with this synth I don't need anything more. I have my gigs well covered. Add my Martin acoustic in there and I'm doing pretty well as far as instruments.

Next $1K+ spending for me will be a new MacBook to replace my ancient iMac desktop.

Sheesh- typical supply guy... "Hey, can I get an XYZ?" "No, we're out*, but I'll put you down for next fiscal**"

*by out I mean that we have a full inventory, but if I give anything out we'll have to order more, and that takes work so...

Not in the Army Band. We gave everyone everything and spent all of our money by the third quarter so we’d get a bigger budget the following year. ;)

The AFRES band at Robins had dozens of nice basses in the supply room but not a single new bass player that came in would want to play any of those. They all had to order a new bass. The good thing was that once a couple of the bassist that were already stationed there started playing Roscoes a lot of the new guys ordered new Roscoes.:)
