I've been able to be here - despite the enablers - and be pretty happy with my basses. I will always lust after a couple more Roscoes. Who wouldn't?
Where are you guys getting your wooden covers from, Roscoe? I was thinking about trying to cut my own with the Glowforge, but getting the finish to match could be tricky since I have the older style back that gets darker at edges. Maybe use Purple Heart?

Are they satin finish, to match the neck? I think I'd want gloss, to match the body, but who knows if that is available, or worth the $$$? They do look nice though, and look like a perfect fit...

I am actually good on gig bags, as cool as one of those would be to have There was a nice UnderCover (which these Roscoe TKL bags are based on) double bag on the ‘verb last night, I’m proud to say I resisted the temptation to buy it (and fortunately someone grabbed it pretty quick so I didn’t have to resist for long). While I do love all these varieties of bags, I always grab one of my Monos (either the vertigo or the double), so I don’t know why I look at other ones

I like and have mono single and double bags but find them too bulky and prefer the Undercover bags. I used to have several of them but sold them all. Stimpy you fool!
I do love the single UC’s (have a green Lakland branded one, and one for my NS EUB as well), shame they’re not around any more…
I used to buy them from Gard when he was at BC. I had a green one when I was in the Army. It was perfect for carrying my green SR5 and green Sterling. Ah those were the days.
I have a set of LaBella flats in the classifieds cut for a Century 5 string. I assume should work for most any Roscoe 3+2 35" bass.

I finally am getting over Covid and getting back into playing and I got to spend some time today with my SKB 3006 Custom Myrtle beauty. The bass plays great but I hadn’t yet connected with the bass sonically. I learned that I needed to be a bit more liberal with my use of the preamp than I’m used to and also that the higher mids make the bass speak the way I’m wanting instead of the lower mids which I usually bump. Now I just need to start taking it to gigs and rehearsals ect.

On my 3006 with Bartolini preamp I almost always have the 250/800Hz mid switch set (pulled out) to the 800Hz position. Even though I rarely move the pot itself off the detent. When a solo opportunity presents itself, a bit of mid-boost is usually all it takes.
