Yes! Mine too. It was my early 5A Quilt maple Pedulla basses that sold me on quilt tops Of course those were a solid piece of quilt maple! He had some beautiful quilt stock.

No kidding. The maple stash Mike Pedulla had was incredible. The Pentabuzz I had in cherry burst with solid flamed maple wings is still one of the few basses I regret letting go.
I had a Spector that had a serious walnut stained maple top and back. It was a chocolate lover’s dream in a bass.

I completed my first preamp swap in my Koa Roscoe. Changed the Aguilar OBP1 for a Nordstrand 2 band. Really like it so far.
Install is not as nice as what Joe does but not bad for a rusty old guy. I haven't messed with electronics in a few years.

I see that you replaced an Aggie OBP-1. Is that why you went with the Nord 2-band (in lieu of a 3-band)?
Yes, the 2 bands are all I have needed. Now I have boost and cut instead of boost only. I still have the Aggie OBP-3 in my other Roscoe that I may change out for the Nord 3 band to give it a try. Very nice electronics and I like being able to boost the overall gain if needed.

I have had several basses with the Bart, Aggie, and Nordstrand 3 band preamps and I like the Nordstrand the best. It just seems to be the most musical to my ears. I would like to try a Pope 4 band in a bass down the road though.

Not sure how many they got in but Bestbassgear.com received a few Nordstrand 3-band preamps last week. They’ve been hard to come by so I thought that I’d mention it.
