I think that Waterfall Bubuinga is the prettiest wood I've seen. Always wanted a Koa built with a lot of sapwood in the middle.
I’ve seen some of the previous ones with the single piece/ just the fade across, i like these bookmatched ones more
I think a top with just the single color in that W.B. would look awesome, too! A little less fan fare. After all, I can’t have my bass looking better than me!!

Yeah I do too. I never really give this wood a thought when I first seen it as I didn't know he could book match and keep the Sapwood in the middle.

That neck looks like the one I ordered on my last build. Keith sent me a photo showing layers of wenge and maple glued and pressed together in one of his machines. It looked like there was enough wood for several similar necks. This is the first one I've seen since mine was made. It's interesting how that wet looking finish on the wenge seems to disappear into the wood. I love the feel of the wenge neck - smooth and fast!

neck! I just wish it had frets. My fretting fingers have issues with fretless basses. Hard as I try to play it, it’s just not working like I would like it to. But I still very much like the bass.

Anyone recognize this bass? Is it me or does the neck look extra wide?

It does, but it could just be the angle/position of the camera. If the photographer is standing too close and has the camera at the headstock level and pointing downward you end up with an image that looks a little off.

Yep...that's the one I had for awhile; bought from @armybass. I'm wondering if the "inlays" are stickers though as that would've been done after I sold it if they're real (same for the side marker lights and knobs).
