You know I am not one to usually be attracted to darker finish basses but all three of those beauties have floored me. I love the finish and fingerboard combo on all three! Oh this is gonna get outta hand and ugly fast.
Ryan you have exquisite taste and four beautiful basses and it is hard to pick one out of the four as my favorite.... but the top on this bass reaches Nirvana!

The oil finish is nice. I like how you can still feel the wood, not the finish. I've had both Standard Plus and Custom models and I actually think I prefer the Standard Plus. I mean, the Custom/Signature models look amazing, but I think my Standard Plus basses are beautiful as well.
I dig the oil finish on my Bubinga SKB 3005 JJ.
My other SKB is gloss, but the oil is great. No fingerprints ta boot.

Oil finishes are my favorite for basses with decorative tops and bodies. Rub some Howard's Feed n Wax on every once and a while and the grain really pops

TECHNICALLY, not quite accurate - SOME of the Standards/Standard Pluses are a SATIN finish, not oil.
The majority of Standards and Standard Pluses with tops have a sprayed on finish that looks like oil.
Gloss finishes are not available on any Standard or Standard Plus bass.

Before they load everything in, carry it to an auto body shop and have them spray it clear then bring it back to have it put together.

I know, I'm a bad, bad boy.
There is a lot more work that goes into that pretty gloss finish. I imagine it adds a couple hundred dollars considering after being sprayed it has to be wet sanded then put on a buffing wheel. It would be a cool option to offer down the road.
Excuse the grime, quick photo of my SKB3005 with the new-to-me Big Singles. Used it at a rehearsal tonight and it killed. Love it. Nice open single coil sound with the Roscoe vibe going on. Very cool.
