Century’s are awesome. I have 2 of them. Took a little bit I’m pretty used to my P bass neck. I do notice a difference though.

I also moved on from my Roscoe Custom Classic 5, but I attribute it not to the bridge (19mm) spacing, but rather the spacing at the nut. The nut spacing seemed wide, and that contributed much more to the neck width than did the bridge spacing, IMO. Either way, cool that you recognize your comfort.
That has to be what it is because I’ve had 19mm Devon’s in the past that the width of the fretboard wasn’t nearly as wide as this bass.
Certainly wider than it needs to be. And maybe thicker (top to bottom) than it needs to be too.
that was my experience and I think we played the same bass. The neck was both very wide and very thick. Shame as it was a beautiful bass

A 5 strings 19mm bridge string spacing bass doesn’t need to have a wide nut width nor a thick neck. I have an XYZ 5’er that was stocked with a 19mm string spacing bridge. I changed the bridge to a Hipshot B 18mm string spacing bridge and it’s one of my favorites. The width of the neck is in-line with a standard 5’er Roscoe.
It’s odd as most people seem to like their Classic 5 basses. Wonder why this one seems to have such an uncharacteristically wide and thick neck?
It’s the standard size neck for Keith’s Classic 5. Nothing different about this one. The blue Jazz that Jim and Dennis had was the same.
It’s playable. Just not very comfortable if you don’t have big hands.
In this case with a wide thick neck, when it comes to hands and playing comfort, size does matter!
Bummer- that has got to be one of the most unique tops Keith has done.
But sometimes it just doesn't work out. No harm no foul for trying something new and deciding that you don't like it. If that were the case, everyone would play crummy XYZ, factory built basses.
Roscoe 5’er nut widths are around those measurements!
I have a converted 5’er 19mm to 18mm with a 1-3/4 nut width.
A wide nut has be 2” or wider.
