You gotta find a better name than "Neck Shaping Machine". Something like "BruceNeck-9000" or "Insta-Neckerator-9000".![]()
Good deal, Bruce.
It sounds a bit conceptually like the pantograph carvers that are used to duplicate gun stocks, with the exception of using the side cutting process. That's something I haven't seen in a duplicator before.
The gun stock duplicators link the two spindles with sprockets and a small gauge chain thaat is similar to a bike chain to keep them in perfect synchronization.
I'm working on that, as part of the design. I'm thinking Super Neck Shaper. Others have built router-base pattern-following neck shaping machines. But mine is going to be Super and better!

I like "The Neckster".
I like "The Neckster".
You gotta have a number on the end of it tho. "Super Neckster 5000".![]()
There's a double-entendre in there somewhere.How about “Bruce’s big Analogue Neck-erator”?
Stand proud! That's at least a level seven dad joke. When people ask how long it takes you to carve a neck, you can respond with “neckster nothing”…
I’ll see myself out.
