Got decent seats for the Philly show, they were cheaper and closer tot eh stage than what I could get for the DC-area show, and I think the indoor venue will sound better, too. Plus my brother lives up that way and he's also a huge Rush fan, so he'll be happy about that. PLUS Philly is where I first saw Rush back in the day, so it's always "home" for me, even though I totally miss the old Spectrum (no that's not where my user name comes from).
I also pre-ordered the CD on Amazon, thinking about ordering the vinyl as well, would be the first Rush record I've bought since Hold Your Fire.
I'm so stoked for this album, like I haven't been in quite a while. Every album since Power Windows has required multiple listenings and usually a live show before I really appreciated it, but the three songs I've heard from this one so far sound good to me right off the bat. This whole steampunk fantasy concept thing is also the kind of stuff I wish they'd been doing more of all along, too, the prog rock genre needs a shot of whatever Rush has got.
