Rybski Basses?

This luthier cannot spell 'curly', as the picture with the wood sent back shows. Enough said and good luck to the OP.
I rather suspect the builder is an E2Ler, making fun of his spelling isn't very nice (and it doesn't affect the quality of the work or of the business). Criticize him for his bad behavior, sure, but spelling's a bit of a cheap shot.

He probably would've sent an email. Never had something mailed to me that I didn't recieve. He could take a picture of the stub. That would take minute or two. Maybe he sent a check to my po box and it'll just take another week. If that were the case he would pick up the phone or return mesages. Could be I guess but likely not.
Yeah, could happen, wouldn't be holding my breath.

Funny you mention Bass Camp, I went last year (and going this year) and one of the days Rybski came in to talk about basses, woods and other stuff. I was not overly impressed by him. Yes they look nice, but nothing special about the sound. In fact one of the students (a well known actor whom I will not mention) bought one and he also was not that impressed with the tone. Personally.....I'll stick with my Roscoe basses!
Great! That's cool. Tell Rybski I said hello. Tell him that Chauncey says hi! I'm shure he'll get a real kick out of it. It's also nice to hear from somebody who knows what they sound like. You might be the first one on the thread that's played one or been in the room while one was being played!

I'm straight up just gonna call chamber of commerce tomorrow. It will be a start. It's funny that he won't return my calls and I'll leave messages and dudes deleting the mesages while I'm making them. He won't pick up the phone, or return emails or text so I'm just going to phone and email whoever else I can. I've been thinking about just going to bass camp because I'll be passing through at that time but I got me a rescue dog and don't want to leave her even with my parents. Maybe I'll contact a lawyer but that's just going to eat up money. I'm definatly going to look into the fed scam thing. The wood is toasted and wrecked so no point in even sending anywhere.

Be forewarned - the Chamber of Commerce, like the Better Business Bureau protects businesses. You're better off with The Consumer Protection Agency.

ya! That sounds about right. He's not a business that pays a lot of sales tax like a bar or a gas station though. Maybe they get him sent back to Poland.

A "Chamber of Commerce" is basically a marketing arm of city government aimed at attracting, promoting and supporting small business...they will be less than interested in your plight.

You should contact the local police, clerk of courts or district attorney.

I will. Have the numbers written down. Either way could it hurt to call the chamber? I just get the feeling that if I call the cops or DA, I'll be making a trip all the way down to Tennessee. I would definatly have to write a letter to my uncle spud!

Don't waste your energy on the CoC - focus on agencies that deal with crime.

I don't think that a Chamber of Commerce is really equipped to handle consumer complaints...in my experience it's just not something they do, I don't suppose it would hurt, other than the pain of wasting your time. Then again, I could be wrong...maybe some of these organizations are set up to help consumer.

He's lucky it wasn't me he f'd with - I'd relish the role of 'David' to his 'Goliath' (and I'm not talking' bout my SWR… ;))

dude - drop the illegal immigrant sh-t, it really is ignorant and will do you no good in the long run. Stay on the high road.
I got nothing against forieners. All the people that work down here are illegal. My heart goes out to them. They work there butts off and should get asylum along with there families. But I don't like Rybski and whatever angle I got against him I'll use. If he's not here legaly I would send him back in a heartbeat. Dude is my enemy and whatever I can legaly do to him I will.

My point is it's highly unlikely he's here illegally.
