Rye was completely off my radar until last year when a bottle of this wound up in my stocking:
Now I always keep a bottle around, usually the Bulleit.
I like bourbon, but don't always want the sweetness. And good scotch sometimes doesn't have much of a flavor at all. Rye gives my taste buds a little something to key in on.

Manhattan Rye? I’ll be trying that for sure.

Yeah, for cocktails, I would go for the cask strength for sure. But I'm happy sipping rye straight, and I wouldn't want to go 120-proof for sipping
The Hudson line of whiskey is pretty good. Could use a little more age for the price.

I find it surprisingly good for sipping.. it’s dangerous in that way.
I’ll try the Hudson for the New York style rye. Interested in that.
The Whistlepig ryes are a bit more expensive but definitely on my get list.
They seem to have the aged rye thing down, the old world cask finish might be the one I go with first.

I liked the first bottle of the NH that I had, didn’t like the 2nd I bought. It wasn’t even close.
Word is that Crown NH Rye has issues with batch consistency. Many tasters have noticed this.

The Cask Strength Rye is a good sipper.
Just had a dram of it myself.
Make sure you approach it with respect.
If you approach it like your average Jim Beam, you'll end up on your lips in no time.
It's got a nice spice/sweetness and the long finish is great.
