S/D-85: Tasty clippings from Corey's Box

About the dog thing...
Laz, great insight.
We are shown a video on the Bulli Ray occupational dog bite training.
It's a decent video with some info I haven't heard before.

That is what I'm given to defend myself with. Chemical deterrents and tazers are grounds for dismissal.
I'd really like to attend a class so I can ask questions and work with actual dogs. I'll have to ask about that at the next safety meeting.
Sadly I don't get guaranteed a repeat read on the same places so next month I may be somewhere else when it's time to read those problem houses. Because of that I'm not sure treats would help.
Regardless I think I'm going to stick out my 90 days and make a decision at the end of probation. Things get better I'll stay. They don't I'll move on. Of course that's my attitude on a day with all nice dogs....

Billy corgan might my be a tool, but Gish and Siamese Dream are some great albums. Bought Gish on cd in Austin and have jammed it over and over since.

Also anyone else enjoy the eagles of death metal?

I dig the smashing pumpkins allot more now than when they came out. Never disliked them, just the amount of obnoxious people going gaga turned me off.
I even like their later stuff and some of his solo stuff is great.
Whenever I think of him my mind goes to the lost highway soundtrack. Great music from that period.

Casters on cabinets? Yay or nay? I have four identical cabinets except one has casters and it screws up my visuals of my rig in my mind. Not a big deal but still what else have I got to do right? I can't decide if I want to add casters to the other sides bottom cab or just remove them from the one that has them. I move the stuff with a cart so I really don't need them although it is kind of nice when its time to vacuum.

You could buy 3 WF I mean ya know....

Not entirely sure how i would do mutli settings for that pedal but that idea is nice

Custom three stage pedal? All WF?

You know a 1U rackmount with ODB, VT, and WF in one would be kool

Or maybe something like this...

You know I have an open spot in my B1500 rack... What would it take to make this happen with a footswitch?

Josh Homme is indeed known for saying and doing weird things. Because he is weird.

That's A pretty infamous interview. Pretty sure he'd never heard of them and was tired of people asking him about kyuss and the bands that were influenced by kyuss.

I have a good Billy Corgan story: a friend of mine grew up in a suburb of Chicago, he was a life guard at a pool where Billy's little sister was taking lessons. He had to rescue her once, pulled her out of the pool, CPR, the whole bit.

He also happened to be a gigantic pumpkins fan so later when he had a chance to meet Billy he jumped at the chance.

Billy was a total dick, not surprisingly. My friend, heartbroken, yelled as Billy walked away: " I saved your sister's life you dick!"

Early smashing pumpkins are pretty great. But Corgan is an absolute ****ing prick. There's a certain amount of cringe that happens in my mind when I hear him. But for real those early records are just too good to deny.

did this all stem from him just e-raging on devi ever? before that incident i never heard anything negative about him, although maybe i just wasnt listening hard enough haha.

No he's just a notorious douche, the Devi story was pretty out there. But I've run across a lot of stories about him over the years, and not one of them was good.

I have a 4 song pumpkins Ep titled Lull from I think '94 it's awesome... as is gish & Siamese dream. I fell off on Melloncollie, but I do have a greater appreciation for it now, though I never listen to it.

Edit... 1991

i never got into them, i like some of their songs but they just never did it for me. his guitar tone has always been really cool. there were always rumors about him plugging in like 20 big muffs together and using them all at once, i wonder how true that kinda stuff was.
