S/D-85: Tasty clippings from Corey's Box

Wow. Ghost is playing here on my birthday with some band I've never heard of called King Dude. That's it, just the two of them. Tickets after fees and crap are like $35. Are you serious? $35?! I was thinking about going just to check out what the big deal is, but forget that.

Sounds about right. They're both pretty high profile (for what they are), I'm sure they are asking a hefty guarantee. I've never caught Ghost but wouldn't mind checking them out. I actually kinda like them even though they have recently picked up a pretty big hipster following since Coachella. I don't know it that would stop me from seeing them live, but their show close to here sold out faster than I had time to think about it.

Does anybody have any specific requests for demo clips from the Dunwich tourbox? I need to ship it out to the next person soon, I have some free time tonight to hammer a few out. If anyone wants to hear a specific type of riffing, setting, combination or instrument I didn't use in the ones I already did let me know. I'm going to ask around a few places I posted the clips, so if there's any overwhelming requests for something specific, I'll definitely do it.

Hot damn these guys are coming along nicely.

Never heard them before, good stuff.

Personally, I'd like to hear how some of the fuzzier choices sounded A/B'd to a standard Muff. Like the Cthulu, Wizard, DA120, and Muff all in a chain, do a quick riff on the Muff then bang out the other 3 with the same riff, to give an A/B/C/D comparison against something our ears are already familiar with. Thats a slippery slope though if you start doing demos of Dunwichers compared to random X pedals. Which is why I suggested the most basic of Muffs.

Count me as a johnny-come-lately on Ghost fan. Their live show is awesome. FWIW, I'd probably drop $35 to see them at a smaller than festival venue.

i wouldn't mind hearing the VT and ODB in lower gain settings...

edit: and maybe some clips using standard tuning.

Yeah, I totally would of gone too if it wasn't sold out. I hear it's cheesy but they're supposedly pretty good at the same time. I do enjoy their music the last two albums. $35 makes sense since they are not from the States. Also being they have another act to pay as well.

My guitard uses a HD130 and some times I run through it for sh!ts and giggles.

I have an HD150 I picked up a while back. It sounds great on bass but gets dirty too fast, so it ended up as a backup guitar amp. I want to upgrade my cabs and was wondering what kind of clean volume it can get with efficient speakers. I'd rather be using that than a solid state.

I have run the HD130 with my Dually, which is efficient. It gets loud enough to gig for most people.

Yeah, I have a YBA-3 with 6550's pushing around that much power. I could not use it through my 810, regardless how good the tone was, because it just wasn't loud enough. But it's much louder and cleaner through a vented cab with efficient speakers like Corey's Dually or even an Avatar B212. Even better, I bet it would be so damn perfect out of two avatar B212's! I love 12's on bass.

Was just asking if you knew what the EQ frequencies on the Orange Thunderverb 50 and Rocker 30 are, or know how to find out. The manuals don't say (how typical). Those are the amps my guitarists in Catapult use, so I'm trying to be more methodical about EQ.

They are fender style FMV EQs for both amps so general Fender EQ points
