Haven't listened to this album in years.
Still kicks a$$ and is definitely one of the more original albums I ever heard.

I haven't even used the talkbass app on my phone. I really don't use my phone for much other than calls and text.

I have the Soundcloud app for iPhone. It always seems like songs are glitchy at the start. Sometimes they don't start so I play the "hit play/pause until the timer start counting" game. I also hate how difficult it is to move around within a track.

Maybe I don't have the right Bandcamp app, but the one I have only lets me listen to music that I've bought. It won't let me search or stream other stuff. This is essentially useless b/c I've already downloaded and moved to iTunes the songs I paid for.

seeing doom as just drone for a note for minutes is something most people just see on the surface. theres so much more going on with a lot of the bands that do the style correctly. multiple layers, tons of chord variations, drum changes, keyboards, vocals in and out, different effects. i can be interested in a few simple chords for 12 minutes if theres enough variation on them to make the music go places, dynamic changes, etc.

Depends on who we're talking about here! A band like Cough feels like the same note for minutes. The Osedax definitely layers things up and makes it interesting.

Just thinking out loud here:

Picked up 2 1x15 Peavey Black Widow cabs. They each have a single port below, and off-centered of the speaker. Noticed that the porting on my dually is 4 huge ports for the 2x15.

What do I need to investigate to see if adding/expanding the porting size of the Peavey would create better low end response?

Depends on the size of the box, and the BW freq graphs compared to the Fatials or Kappa freq grab thingys.

I would leave the cabs alone

Not sure, but will33 is a nice guy to ask he doesn't hang here but he's one of those on the outside who knows cabs and is ok with us.

Though, I'd also submit that you bought it as a house rig, and I'm all for rebuilding/improving, I'd say don't put much $$ into it, as it won't resell for more for doing anything.

Also didn't know you had a dually. You can run both get lows and peavey grind.

My band rig is TB1000 and dually. Home rig is the Peavey Mark IV into the BW's.

THe BW's are good speakers. But, if I can make them sound better then I'm all for it. I certainly don't want to butcher the cabs; just wanna see what's possible. Won't put more than a few bucks into it.
