If you can get 1.5-2" on the back, sides and top I expect you'll notice a difference in its sound. Especially if you can A/B them.
You probably have 1502s those don't much like a very low tuning from what I remember. IMO it's not worth fooling with the tuning.
I've seen a case of 1000 rounds of 9mm goes for around $250-$300. So I guess a used SVT Cl would be 4000-5000 rounds? Hell, a car could haul that. An SUV wouldn't be a bad idea though...
Really excited to pick up my pile-o-acoustic on Friday! Six hour round trip drive. Might have to flip the cabs. :-/

I've heard the new Conan, it's pretty sweet. That review is hilarious though, I wish I cared that much about anything.
But yeah, new Conan record is good, check it out once it's out for sure.

It is actually a solid rosewood Link Removed. The Invalid Link Removed is just glossy so it looks really dark. The Invalid Link Removed is actually hard to photograph. It is gold fleck orange.

Back in March 2013 while Dinosaur Jr were on tour in Australia, j stopped by the shop to play an intimate and very loud instore as his alter ego Heavy Blanket. Bringing heavy psych, guitar solos and noise - lots of noise - together in an amalgam of pure music, it was the first time anywhere that Heavy Blanket had performed live.
Bringing everything together on March 14th at Tym guitars in Brisbane, Australia the result was something to behold. The shop was packed and the stage was set up with over 300W's of valve power just for j to wail through while Graham had fourteen 10"s speakers pumping out the bass.
The result is 25 minutes of volume and screeching Jazzmaster backed by a heavy, driving rhythm section. The show was professionally recorded to 16 track and captured for future generations to be in awe of.
Gnarly. Too bad it's $30.

i know youre a big tape echo/delay guy, have you ever heard or gotten a chance to play that Binson Echorec? jesus that thing sounds ****ing phenomenal. best tape delay ive ever heard, and its not even tape haha. 3000 for a pedal is no fun, but damned if that thing doesnt rule.

Yeah, it's different from Monnos, but still killer, they're growing as a band, in a good way.
I haven't gotten a chance to use a legit Binson Echorec, but I did have the catalinbread copy, I considered selling my Roland RE-101 with how good that CB pedal sounded. It was like 99% there in emulation of a real tape echo, first digital delay I truly liked.
Didn't mess with the crazy rythmic stuff it could do too much while I had the pedal version, I could see that being super awesome to use in certain projects. I had a pigtronix echolution when they first came out (and before I decided analog delay's were the sound I wanted) and it could do some really cool rythmic delays, but I never found a good use for them in bongripper...plus it just got too muddled on bass for my tastes.
Damn that's the loudest BJ I've ever read.
Funny throughout, guess I'll have to give the album a listen...
