Good news, over lunch I snagged a reservation at a swanky place for tomorrow, and locked down a dozen roses to pick up after work.
Everyone in a good relationship knows theres a level of give and take... I play along with the holidays because she doesnt care what I do any other day of the year. She can hang with me and my buds and participate along with my shenanigans, but at heart she's a girly girl and eats it up when we get dressed up and go out somewhere nice.. doesnt hurt that she usually has some new Vic Secret swag for me when we get homeAnd I always enjoy an excuse to eat a $50 steak.
Some epic Craigslistery happening today... I just picked up the 70's Small Stone at an intersection downtown. Guy originally posted it for $120, at which time I offered him $90. He wanted to wait it out, so a few weeks later I see he's got it listed at $90.... I offer him $80 and convenient pickup and he bit.
Then my guitarist and I found a guy selling his dad's old Sun Sorado and Sunn 2x15 with busted speakers, $800 for the whole kit. I sent him a shot in the dark offer for $150 for the cab and he bit, I think its a fair deal and I can add speakers to match my current Sunn 2x15 and have a pretty epic 2 ohm rig. Didnt have any interest in the 50 watt Sorado head.. but should I?
They're not great for bass, but I like them for guitar with an OD or distortion pedal in front. However, it sounds like this guy is going to expect to get a lot more $$$ for it than I would pay.
