Pretty decent shot from last night.

Ampeg - unfortunately if the A+B input isn't working it's probably that is probably a problem with the amp. Ou should just be able to plug into that input and it goes.

Laz - everytime is see your EGC or any EGC at this point it makes me all that more anxious to get mine.

On that note, after a ton of setbacks Kevin told me that my bass will be the next one on the assembly line, so I really should be done sometime the upcoming week.

Hello guys , been reading the stoner/doom thread for a while now but it's time to introduce myself.
I'm George from Greece , i play in a post-sludge/doom/drone project with some really good friends and i also gig with my main band playing beatdown/hardcore (cliche :P ).

To the point , right now i only own one bass , a custom jazz bass made by my father . Since i rehearse 2-3 times a week with both bands , i've been experimenting with strings so i could handle both bands, because the tunings are standard D and drop C so they are pretty close . The point is with all that drone stuff i tend to use a lot of chords, which hurts my hands if using the 4 bottom of a 5'er set i use with my hardcore band ( EB Super slinky 40-125) . Right now i use D'addario balanced tension 50-120 which is fine for thich C/D and G but thinner top strings , but they seem to be out of stock in all local stores near here .

So , after all this loooong post, what strings are u guys using , since the rest of the TB uses nothing but flats (jk) and i still search for something decent. Keep in mind local stores have like only 30 different sets for bass strings since the place is overcrowded with guitarists , and mostly fender, d'addario and Ernie ball , but if i find something worth trying , i can order through the internet.

I play with Circle K strings, dropped tuning, balanced tension. I looked at their chart and look at the tension for an E @ .105 and chose a string guage for C that had the same tension.

Not sure if that's the correct way, but I reeeeeally like those strings. If you live in Greece, though, the cost of shipping those out of Washington state, where Circle K is, might be cost prohibitive.
