Great Strings, I had a pair on my B-404Sm when I bought it. If those strigns where availeble in my area i honestly buy 'em again. Try em out, you won't be sorry.

S.I T. Strings?

I just put on a set of SIT Silencers on a my Geddy Lee...so far so good...On my guitars Ive always used SIT light top heavy bottoms...Never had a problem with them...Im sure the bass strings will be just as reliable...

I really wish SIt would Silk there string ends, I had a set, 1 snapped at the post for me, i emailed them asking if they will or will ever silk the string ends and they never got back to me, That really bothers me.
I have dealt with DA,Ken smith,rotosound,GHS, etc and they ALL got back to me in 24 hours, with response to any of my questions.

I'm using SIT pure nickel Power Flats now on my Rickenbacker V63, C64 and Brice Hofner copy. I think they are terrific sounding strings. They are smoother feeling and have a deeper, warmer more round tone than the DR nickel Lo-Riders I was using. I really like the SIT's on these basses a lot. I still use the DR's on my Fender Jazz though.
I have that same shortscale set on my Allan Woody bass. They sound pretty food to me and have lasted for quite a while.
BTW - SIT will assemble "custom gauge" sets for the same price of a standard set at customers request through you local SIT dealer. I use 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 for CGCF.
The website still says that, it also says that two music stores near me are still open; one closed last year, the other closed at least two years ago. FWIW D'Addario lists G&L under their PARTNERS tab, too.

SIT's are made right in my backyard and the CS is tops. I had a dead string once made a call to them. They sent me a whole new set no questions asked and i live in the city they are made in.
I like the nickels when i played rock but switched to Fenders as of late for my country music. The other day i bought a set of SIT silencers which were my fav strings when i played 5 stringers. I had a set of peacock blue DR's on my modded MIM P bass but never liked them too much. I thought they were hard to see on dark stages etc and the tone was so-so.
I slapped on the silencer set and WOW! I love the woody tone and punchy mids from this bass that these strings brought out. I took it to practice last night and it killed. Silencers are great and i might switch all my basses to them soon.
