Sadowsky in distribution agreement with Warwick

Will the satin series be taken over by Warwick as well?

TBD on the Satins. I'd also like to share that while it's a distribution and licensing deal, Roger Sadowsky has been 100% involved with Warwick in quality control and development of the new Metro and MetroExpress lines.

This just means my next Sadowsky is going to cost more.

Quality control: something Warwick is definitely in dire need of. And who's going to handle customer service? Because if it's Warwick then that's very bad news indeed.

...The distribution part is actually what surprises me, as Warwick does not have a good history of distribution (go right now and try to order some spare parts from their USA distributor).

Maybe it’s more the US distributor than the parent company?

That was the second attempt at the bass. His record means nothing to me. In a thread largely about quality control, I have every right to share my terrible experience.

Which is where customer support comes in. One of the great things about Sadowsky is that if something does go wrong Roger and co. will stand behind their product and set things right.

There's no reputation good enough to invalidate someone's experience. All any of us can do is share our experiences. Not only is @MMiller28's comment appropriate, it is exactly what this website is built for.

This makes sense. Roger Sadowsky, like Ken Smith and Stuart Spector, is an older man now. I believe Roger turned 70 this year. It makes sense that he would work out something with a larger company for his import line and accessories and then concentrate of his handcrafted instruments. Warwick ergonomics are not for everyone, but Warwick knows how to produce quality instruments, therefore, I expect Warwick to faithfully execute Roger Sadowsky’s designs. I am looking forward to much success!

I heard from a local Sadowsky dealer a few months ago that there might be some manufacturing changes in the works. Had no idea that meant moving it to Germany!

Will be very interesting to see the new German Sadowsky's. Warwick is certainly well known for their quality craftsmanship, so this is exciting.

I think it's wise to reserve judgment until they start shipping some product. Given the two companies involved, I would expect there will be very few issues.

This is the first time I have ever read a negative comment about Sadowsky’s customer service. I’ve been a customer since early 90’s.
Was it resolved?

Just got my Metro Express .. beautiful resonant instrument ... Feel good that I got in under the wire .. just checked the black on black metro express is gone ..

We will still have our shop in NYC for all things Sadowsky-related. Warwick currently has a shop/office in Nashville as well.

From my understanding, the Warwick showroom is no longer open in Nashville. Is it possible that will reopen with the new distribution agreement (and have Sadowsky's)?
