Sadowsky in distribution agreement with Warwick

they assist and even offer to replace the onboard pre with different brand. Which is not acceptable..

In this case i won’t yelling to the retailers. after dealing with hans is more like pain in the *ss

I decided to sold any warwick brand that i had.. no need to play any in future

Awesome, back to Sadowsky.

Wow. Seems like it's more than just distribution though:

"Warwick will build and distribute our Metro and MetroExpress instruments. Warwick will also distribute our strings and accessories. The new, Warwick-made Metro and MetroExpress Models will debut at the 2020 NAMM show at the Warwick/Sadowsky booth."

'Warwick/Sadowsky booth' just sounds odd! But hey, I like both companies. I've had Warwicks ever since I started playing in the 90's.

The distribution part is actually what surprises me, as Warwick does not have a good history of distribution (go right now and try to order some spare parts from their USA distributor).

I tried to order some Sadowsky strings a few months back direct from Sadowsky and they advised they would be available through Warwick going forward. I hunted around for a local set without luck. Today I checked Warwick, and I hope there is a North American site because 57 Euros (plus shipping) for strings is outrageous...$90 CAD. Anyone know where we can order Sadowsky strings in Canada (or US)? I may have to find an alternate string for my NYC.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere distribution of those strings is being addressed, and of course it'd have to be done competitively, or it'd be a waste of their time to do so. In the meantime, FWIW, if you run dry, DR Lo-Riders are similar enough to at least make me happy. Stainless, hex core, same gauges, very well made, last a long time. Just have to move the B string saddle forward towards the neck since the B isn't tapered.

Music Store Live has Blue Label Rounds at a decent price ($28/B.O.) on Ebay, but Blue Label Rounds...$77-83 a set for 4 string. What?? I still have a set or two of the Rounds but would like a set of Flats, although not at that price.

Due to COVID, I have not been able to replenish my string inventory since March. We hope to be up and running with worldwide distribution through Warwick by the end of the year.
We also have to go to new packaging as the vinyl pouch will be prohibited by the EU in about a year from now.

Fretnation has some in stock as well ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]) with reasonable prices and mostly reasonable shipping to Canada...that is generally the kicker. If I lived 35 minutes further South shipping would be free. I got this tip from another member yesterday and ordered a couple of sets.

Thanks Roger and thanks for the email as well. Absolutely makes sense and will wait patiently for things to cool down and return to some semblance of normal. In western Canada COVID has not had nearly the same impact as it has had in the US (especially Eastern US) and I think sometimes we forget that not everyone is having it the same as we are. We benefited from less population density for sure. Be safe my American friends.

I should have been more clear on my earlier post. I was looking for Blue Label Flats...and could not find them anywhere near the “old” price. Everyone, including the TalkBass store, had already raised them to nearly double what they previously were. Sounds like there are still some deals on rounds out there...

Thanks Roger. I know what will be on my Christmas list this year. Blue Label Flats.
