Sadowsky in distribution agreement with Warwick

So we are going to have a Sadowsky under $1500 Waiting to hear if all models will have the same electronics.

Yes sir! The only difference is that the MetroExpress will not have the VTC control (like my earlier NYC instruments). A VTC kit will be available as an accessory item.

Should we miss the great support from mr sadowsky himself instead of the “poor” hans ?

i own 3 sadowsky and 2 warwick.
sold the 2 warwick because of the BAD customer service i received from warwick about their defective strings year ago.

I recently acquired a Warwick LX6 and needed some new bridge saddles, so I emailed Warwick and got a prompt and helpful reply from Hans. I've also requested information on Warwicks previously and was again answered by Hans. As well as my three Warwicks, I also own two Sadowsky basses and support from both companies has been exemplary, in my experience.

Thank you, Mark!
Just the fact that in a company as large as Warwick, Hans Peter replied personally, is very impressive.
Their company policy is to reply to emails within 24 hours.

Great! Glad hans did that to you.

cheers

This is also my experience. I ended up trading multiple emails, talking about the bass and other non related subjects. Really nice guy, and helpful. And it says something when the owner takes time to reply to a customer.

If others have a different experience, I understand and respect it. But I felt I needed to share my positive experience, too.

My streamers had issues in preamp that had crackling pots.
Warwick or hans i should say we can sell you replacement. Yes selling replacement on 3 months old bass.
Guess what? I sell those bass and never want to deal with warwick ever since.

great customer service right there

I find that very strange that you say Warwick wouldn't fix a preamp in a 3 month old bass, the bass was new, yes? With respect, the shop you purchased it from should've sorted this out for you. If the bass was second hand, I can understand the 3 month guarantee, and in that case it's down to your due diligence, Imo.

Hi Roger,

BTW, a couple of months before lockdown (when I had gigs), I bought a Metroexpress RV4 (Japan), for me, the quality is indistinguishable from my Metroline MV5! Very happy with both basses, (and my Warwicks) :)

The shop able to replace it with another brands. Which is not acceptable..

i see you had great experience with warwick
And i appreciate that

but not changing anything on my mind about their CS reputation..

Cheers

Yes, the shop offering to replace the bass with another brand as your only option, is totally acceptable, but, I ask again, was the bass new or used?

No its not acceptable with different preamps brand replacement. How its become acceptable? Would you accept it? If you in my position? Replace the defective pre in more than $1k bass with cheap aftermarket preamps?

the bass is bought brand new not used or b stock

I would have asked the shop for a new bass or a refund, and would mention that I will be contacting my lawyer if this wasn't resolved. I would also write to Warwick and let them know details of the shop and how you were treated.
The shop should have resolved this for you, as you bought the bass from them, so it was their responsibility.

What shop was this?

are they build the bass? No

who’s build them?

are they make the preamp inside the bass? No

who make them?

it’s just not in this topic anyway otherwise it will be out of topic. Let’s start whole new thread discussing this if you want

No, it’s ok, not necessary to create a thread. Legally, the shop was at fault but didn’t want to deal with the problem which was their responsibility. It appears that your only recourse was legal action against the shop, which you didn’t do, unfortunately. The seller was at fault, not the manufacturer.

Nope. This is manufacturer issue,, they shipped bass with defective electronic,

in the end of the day that’s should be an easy fix for warwick and i think a new preamp replacement will not break their neck.

After the return period, it becomes a warranty issue and it should be handled through the manufacturer. Some retailers will be warranty centers, but most won't. I'd expect the retailer to assistant with locating a service center and getting proof of purchase, if needed, but I wouldn't expect a retailer to swap out instruments after 3 months.

they assist and even offer to replace the onboard pre with different brand. Which is not acceptable..

In this case i won’t yelling to the retailers. after dealing with hans is more like pain in the *ss

I decided to sold any warwick brand that i had.. no need to play any in future
