LOL. As long as you can refrain from saying things like. We're going to MAKE you buy a Sadowsky for the sake of the CHILDREN. Or more people are buying brand "X" instead of Sadowskys because of a vast bass-wing CONSPIRACY, I think you'll be alright :) :) :) As Dan Rather would say.....Courage.....Courage :D.
P.S. You wouldn’t happen to have a spare Modern 24 and UV70-RW-ASH-5 lying around for cheap would you? I'm gassing for one of those sooooooo bad.:D:D:D:D

OK, I will officially go on record stating that I was wrong with my assessment of when this thread would be closed. I beleive I stated that it would be closed before this morning...there has been some funny stuff posted in this thread.

Now if we could only get every "love vs. hate" thread to have this much imagination and humor TB would be be a better place for all the children and unicorns of the world.

I gigged my 1992 Sadoswky NYC Jazz last night and it sounded amazing. I really think they are incredible basses.

One downside? Too much top end even with treble turned right off. If one is looking for a traditional sound (not modern), a Sadowsky will likely sound like $h!t to you.

I guess I will keep it though.:smug:

My NYC is ash/maple board and I find the VTC takes care of that well.

Custom stacked pot (minimum order 1000 pieces).
Custom knobs.
There are no "off the shelf" pots or knobs that would work for this.
Plus push pull pot and some pre-wiring.
Plus time for having to answer all these questions of "Why $80??"
