Safest, Most Stable Guitar Stand Available?

I'm researching into what is the most safest, stable guitar stand available.
So far I've found that even with the highest end single guitar models, they still have that hazardous 'topple over' prospect.
Who would you say carries the safest, most stable guitar stand?

I like the Ultimate Support GS-100 Genesis Single Guitar Stand (Invalid Link Removed). I have a couple of them. They hold my basses well and have never had an indication they will topple over.

You're right, they'll ALL tip over and a standard $10 cheapo is as stable as any other folding stand.

Guitar boats are more stable but I've seen those tip over too. Some guys drop a 30lb steel shot bag in them to make them safer and that helps a lot.

I prefer Herculese Stands. The weight of the guitar locks the headstock into the stand. But, just like other stands, don't run into it.

anyway, great minds think alike, though i linked (and prefer) the one with the head part that folds down, it's a bit more compact to put away.

if there's no multi-guitar rack type thing (called a"boat" apparently) these are the only stands i trust.

I've used both kinds for myself and stage teching. The cheap ones are fine if you don't run into them and the Hercules will tip if you do run into them....do the math. Sure the Herc is better made and more stable but NOT more stable enough to make much difference on a stage. Personally I wouldn't use either kind much anymore. For home I use wall mounted hangers and at gigs I either lean it against the amp or put it back in the gig bag on breaks.

I like that model more as well, but I was lazy and picked the first image result. Also why I didn't link, laziness.

(and if you use the herc correctly, legs fully spread and adjusting it to be as low as it can go without the guitar touching the ground, it will bounce back upright after being bumped much more readily than anything else.)

Don't get me wrong the Herc is a MUCH nicer stand and I think actually still have one somewhere. But after using a lot of stands for a lot of years I don't have much use for ANY folding stand. I think they're all potentially unsafe and talking about which one is more stable is just splitting hairs. If anything the Herc is safer only because it's easier to get the instrument seated correctly (which is probably reason enough to go with it) not because it won't tip over.

The best and most stable guitar stand I've ever come across is the Heli 2 stand from König & Meyer. Adjustable to different widths, strong construction, folds completely flat, and very hard to knock over thanks to being almost completely covered with a soft and extremely grippy rubber. It holds your bass in a very firm grip, and doesn't slide around on the floor, but stays wherever you put it down.

The Hercules stand is great for preventing the slip up. I have one and like it. The stumbling drunk attack....just about anything you use is goin' down.

In North America they're made by On Stage. Model # GS7465. I absolutely swear by them. And they're pretty inexpensive too. I have four of them.

I use the smaller Hercules stand and even walking into my bass I haven't knocked it over. The trick, I believe, is the low centre of gravity - see how the legs are almost on the ground.

Also have a 3-guitar stand by Fender which is as secure as anything - though that (unlike the Hercules stands) is not suited to Nitro finished guitars, not that I have any of them.
