Safest, Most Stable Guitar Stand Available?

I only use 2 stands. The Ultimate GS-1000 and the Hercules GS-415B.. I have maybe 10 of each. They are really trustworthy IMHO

I have a couple of each. I like both of these.

I was using a Hercules and it is pretty good except the locking mechanism went wonky and wouldn't work correctly. You will not find any customer service available for them. Luckily, GC made good. When I took it in, the guy said, "Oh, yeah, we see a lot of this." So on @Killed_by_Death's recommendation, I got a couple of the Ultimate G100s. They are excellent and very stable. They also fold up well and are easy to carry around. Now, any guitar stand can be knocked over, but the angle the Ultimate keeps the guitar at seems it puts the center of gravity over the center of the stand.

I used to use the Hercules hanging one. It was great but someone stole it at a gig I played in Raleigh NC.

If you are in a band.... Our guitarist has a few guitars so he bought one of these that holds 7 guitars and the whole band uses it at shows.

Unfortunately they don't make them anymore.
I bought two of them over 20 years ago and they are still going strong.
Fold up flat and no parts to lose. If you can find one, snag it!

Do you guys find either of these two to be sturdier than the other, and do either have advantages over each other? I've used the Herc dual and trio stands for years, but not the single one.

Here's the one I use.
It's not the best but it is The Best.

Actually, I kinda lied. I double checked models and realized I have a GS-100, not GS-1000. My Ultimates don't auto-close like the Hercules, they have the "locking" rubber strap. I think both stands are pretty sturdy and should be fine. The different ways they hold the headstock in place have their pluses and minuses. There's nothing integrated mechanism to break on the Ultimate but if you don't close the strap on it then you lose some amount of protection that the Hercules makes sure you get every time.

Assuming the GS-1000 is at least as sturdy as the GS-100, then I'd say the choice between the Hercules and Ultimate comes down to preference. The yellow accent on the Hercules stands looks kinda cool.

Thanks for the response. I'll probably go with the Hercules as the stands I've had from them have held up for years.
