RIP. Been an fan of his since Limp Bizkit’s first album. He wrote a lot of great melodic and grooving bass lines. Shame I never got to see him live. Sad day.

Sad. I'm from Jax, FL and he went to my high school several years before me. Limp Bizkit was cool in grade school, not cool in high school, they're cool in an odd way again now; throughout, he was a really good bass player. RIP.
Man just saw this on insta, what a damn shame, great player! Loved his grooves, glad I got too see him live earlier this year

Terrible news. Just saw them open for Metallica in May. He was a killer bassist.
A lot of members here have dismissed him as just noise, whoch is unfortunate. He pursued the bass with passion, and had great technique from smooth and mellow on up to aggressively destructive. Stack of hits, and a touring history to be envied. But, more importantly, he was a good guy, cool. First time I met him was at a mutual friend's after-show party. We ended up passing a bass back and forth, just slamming out riffs and talking shop.
His demons were persistent, and it seemed he lost more often than won. He'll be missed and remembered.

Really?? He's a super groovy bass player with great bass lines.
Substance abuse?
After a life of heavy drinking he had a liver transplant a few years ago. Don't know if they've announced a cause of death yet but liver disease or complications would be plausible.
Thousands of kids bought a 5 string Bass because of him. He was a Star. RIP

Agreed! Very possible. I lost a friend who died shortly after receiving a liver transplant
Not a massive LB fan but he always came across well in interviews.
