I think if there is a sasquatch type creature roaming around, it's probably some sort of cross breed between two bear species. That would seem to be pretty logical, at least to me.

Why would it be logical for two quadruped ursine species to produce a bipedal hominid species?

Sasquatch is roughly the size of a bear. We know bears exist because they leave remains, both modern and archaeological. You can find all sorts of bear bones throughout the history of North America, even a few bear carcasses.

No such record exists of the sasquatch. I find it hard to believe there's megafauna walking around in North America that we can find no fossil record of nor current proof of existence, and that said population would have sufficient numbers to avoid extinction.

So no. No such creature exists.

REALLY really cool concept, and a great study in the power of suggestion and the malleability of the mind, but in the end, not real.
I wouldn't even call it an outright "hoax" as I'm sure that there are plenty of folks who sincerely believe what they saw was one. It's just that what they saw, was not a bigfoot.
The mind is absolutely awesome in what it can do sometimes.

I've camped in the Pine Barrens here in Jersey (Jersey Devil country ) and I've hiked and camped in the mountains of Pa, upstate NY and I've heard lots and lots of creepy things in the woods.. foxes, coyotes..maybe a bobcat or two... just nothing unexplainable.


It's insanely creepy to hear a fox call echoing through the Pine Barrens here... it makes the hair on teh back of your neck stand up! (but it's still just a lil ol fox)

Now that I think about it - I bedded a Sasquatch once. I has just turned 21 and she was older, and 6 foot 3 and about 200 pounds. Not fat, in fact, very shapely, just a HUGE woman. One of the best nights of my life.

sorry,.. that will never happen. BigFoot holds a very strong advantage. dis-belief is his greatest weapon, but they possess a much more formidable power,.. as Relic has alluded to (real Squatchers know what mean). the main reason BF hasn't been exposed to the main stream is they don't want your attention or belief.
