SASQUATCH: fact or fiction?!!

Seen the Patterson late 60's video about 400 times now......

Still can't decide if it's real or fake

...even knowing what I do about Patterson himself....

A Sasquatch with boobs on film....

What faker would have thought of that?.......


I'll take his as the closest thing for real I've ever seen in a video so far......

You can find all sorts of bear bones throughout the history of North America, even a few bear carcasses.

I suppose, but I would assume the number of bears in North America to be much, much higher than that of Sasquatch. Also, Sasquatch is much more intelligent than an average bear. How do we know that there is not a burial ground of Sasquatch that we simply haven't discovered (yet)?

I find it hard to believe there's megafauna walking around in North America that we can find no fossil record of nor current proof of existence...

Like I said, Sasquatch is intelligent, probably as much so as a standard human being. If it doesn't want to be found, it probably has means to prevent it. It's not like there is constant high-caliber government searches for Sasquatch. I mean, look how long it took us to find Bin Laden, and that was one of the largest military objectives of that time. The government is not going to pour money into finding a creature that may or may not exist, but if they did, I wouldn't expect nil results if the search was conducted over a broad span of time.

...and that said population would have sufficient numbers to avoid extinction.

Who's to say the population is too small to be self-sustaining?

So no. No such creature exists.

You have no more concrete evidence than do the community of those who believe Sasquatch is real, so I do not believe you are in liberty to assert such a factual statement.

actually, bluesblaster,.. this thread brings to light one fact that can't be denied. the human mind is so maleable the powers that be have successfully limited our ability to imagine things out of the norm. i am disappointed in us as the supposed higher intelligence on this planet. just because we as humans can't quantify something, means nothing in the bigger picture. there are things going on right in front of us and we miss it. we are conditioned to do so. i hope in my lifetime, that i can talk freely about what i know, but for now we as a people cannot fathom the level of discovery beyond our latest, greatest feat. thank God, people like Einstein went against convention or we'd still be licking the cat's butt.

How many individual hominids does it take to maintain a viable population?

Individual bigfeets have to come from somewhere, and I find it hard to believe that a population of bigfoots numbering maybe 50 to 100 individuals can hide in a forest.

I will keep an open mind , but bare in mind any time someone has claimed they have some sasquatch fur or scat or some kind of proof of its existence it has always been proven to belong to a known species. So with that being said, please share your experience. I love the idea of these creatures running around but need some irefutilble evidence in its favor, otherwise its just the "santa claus syndrome"

they are not really hiding. they literally out-think us. we are so loud and obnoxious they know where we are long before we get close. if you get too close, they go dark. if need be, they will influence you to vacate the immediate area. IMHO, of course!

i won't go into detail, but i will share part of my experience. i am part of group that spends a lot of time in the deep, deep forest of central & northern California. there are numerous accounts of contact here as well as in many other oceans of trees.

BF are highly intelligent close relatives to man. now use your imagination. picture a link between the smartest primates on earth, yet remember how really dumb they are compared to us. Sasquatch may actually represent the gap in between us and monkeys/apes. a true scientific mind would allow that possibility! as far as evidence,.. great question! the main reason i believe in Sasquatch is i have been face to face with one. i have also been in the company of several at one time. i might add that while we humans have advanced in the science's,.. BF has evolved spiritually with a heavyness on the paranormal abilities!

i know,... it's okay! i've seen it and i'm still shocked. i also must tell you,... even being several feet from one in broad daylight, i tried to convince myself that somehow a highly evolved primate escaped captivity. i've held my silent for almost twenty years out of respect for these beings. i pray they never are found and exploited.

ps: what they are capable of defies all our reality! they find us to be cute but stupid, IMO/E.

No scat. No fur. No bones. No bigfoot.

There have been plenty of fur and scat samples collected, some that were easily identified as known species, others not so much....

All kinds of hunters/campers over decades have claimed to have seen one, yet proof remains elusive.

Tough one to call, there's all kinds of evidence, but none of it is concrete indisputable proof. Lots of people have produced fake evidence too making it tougher.

Over the years I've been sliding towards the "no Bigfoot" camp just because you would think bones or a carcass would have turned up by now. You can't prove a negative so the only way this ends is with proof it exists.

All the videos on YouTube are fake.

Everybody's got a cellphone and they text their ass off all day long.......but it's never on when a Sasquatch shows up.

(Except for the fake ones).

They've got FLIR cameras galore plus night-vision.....and you'd think with FLIR plus remote-control drones they'd be able to spot one more easily at night than in the day......

(of course you could easily fake that too)

Considering that no-one has any really credible footage(except possibly Patterson)after 50 years of bigfoot....and no proof either....it's amazing how many "experts" on Sasquatch there are out there.......

I've been following this stuff since 1967.........at that time I actually thought they were real....but as time passed I began to see the whole thing is B.S.

Seriously though, I believe. I probably always will because there is no way to prove nonexistence. As far as carcasses go, there are tons of animals in the wilderness. I have known many hunters over the years. Not one of them has ever come across any kind of carcass in the wild or knows anyone who has. Have any of you? In the year 1900, many people believed the mountain gorilla did not exist. After all, gorillas live in the jungle lowlands, right? A couple of years later they were all proven wrong. The bulk of Native sightings/legends come from NE Asia and NW North America which essentially leaves us with 2 possibilities: 1) They crossed the Bering land bridge during an ice age. 2) When humans crossed into North America, they brought the tales of apemen with them which were passed down through generations.

Once, a bald eagle swooped down in front of my coworker's and my work van and landed on the side of the road. We rolled by very slowly. We were eyeballing him, and he was eyeballing us. At one point, we stopped and were 20' away. Neither of us thought to break out our phone and get a pic. We were caught in the moment. And, that was an animal fairly common to my area. When people see something they consider jawdropping, they tend to freeze unless a camera is literally in their hands, or they are trained to react to such a surprise, e.g. wildlife photographer.

I have seen a ghost, too. But I'll save that story for anther time.

@ZenG,... i feel for ya, man! i seriously doubt that evidence will come about any time soon. honestly though,.. the shock you experience during a sighting make it virtually impossible to reach for a camera you forgot you even owned. lol people can't process that kind of information without prior experience or training. it's really just that simple, sorry!

The native Indians of the Pac Northwest (and other cultures) claim Bigfoot can "shapeshift"....which puts it in the realm of a "spiritual" entity and other hocus-pocus mythical/ritual theory.

As contrasted with an actual living specie that breeds,lives and then dies.

IMO the native theory is an attempt to explain away the fact that you'll probably never find any real evidence of one.

Most so-called Sasquatch sitings are of a single animal which is usually near to fully grown.

No sightings of Mom ,Dad, and the two kids out for a Sunday walk....ever....

No evidence of predatory species like wolves ever taking down a baby Sasquatch.....which they would do if they got the chance.

I'm not even sure Daddy Saquatch could take on a pack of full-grown Greys. He might get one or two of them maybe....

@ZenG,... when you mention things like shape-shift, it conjures crazy un-believeable thoughts of fantasy. the actual event is more of a "blending-in" with your environment, IMO. BF is so covert, if it is detected it's methods to escape view should be studied then emulated. they prey upon our ignorance if i may go there. you have zero chance or ability to keep up with a Squatch in there back yard. people who try to track them make me laugh. take that TV show, "Finding BF",.. pure marketing genius with zero chance of finding a flake of fact!

EDIT: i forgot to mention,.. the one i saw was very young. about 6'4" and slender,.. beautiful creature's at that stage!

Yea, there is a reason why those sightings don't happen down here in the South. For if they did it would not end well, some Cajun would figure out a way to fry it up for dinner.
