does anyone have any encounter stories or know of some one who does? i'm sure the hunter/campers out there must of at least heard something weird.

awww, Relic...., you forgot to add "IMHO"! ;) but, if you're that convinced, shame on you!:spit:

I dunno man, I spent a lot of time in my younger days believing in stuff like that - bigfoot, ufo's, ghosts, etc. I thought it was the coolest thing ever to have something "more" than just a 9 to 5 mundane existence.
and I love to analyze the hell out of things.. so it was like the more I analyzed and dug for "truth" the more skeptical I became. I even had a stint as a "ghost-hunter" type dude and it was a disaster... instead of helping me believe, it made me realize that as soon as people really want to believe in something, they will "see" and "hear" things and instead of trying to look at them objectively, they ended up cramming them into their preexisting beliefs and desires. I've seen the hum of an airplane passing over a graveyard at night become a "ghostly moan"... a bank of fog become a "hoard of ghostly figures...sheesh. And what's nuts is that the people I was with - if you gave them a lie detector test, they would pass with flying colors because they really and truly believed what they saw - even though it was easily debunked.
nah..I've become a skeptical old fart.
Now offa my lawn!!

Walk up on one that is stuck under a fence.

Oh, they do alright. Make sure it's not dark and you're not alone outside the first time you hear it.

So you guys mean like a distress call type thing?
That I did hear once kind of. I was hiking through some weeds and must have stepped on/near a nest of bunny babies and got one apparently. It went nuts squeaking before it croaked. Pretty disturbing..:( I still feel bad and this was like 20 years ago!

I've heard the "shapeshifter" argument before and also that
they enter and exit through "portals"..

Point is :- why?

You come from another dimension through a portal and wander around here for awhile as a hairy ape basically avoiding contact with anything.......

And that accomplishes what?

No purpose ......

'Shapeshifting'........what are you when you're not a Sasquatch?

Every tribal culture has their "boogeyman" to be afraid of.

"The "boogeymen" come in lots of forms, not just Sasquatches. Keeps the members of the tribe in line.
They can't live an idyllic lifestyle.....no they HAVE to have something to be afraid of.

You don't hear (as far I know, reports of Sasquatch in England, Italy, or Switzerland)

I saw a map recently of alleged bigfoot sigtings, they were virtually everywhere in the US, If its just the one than he (or she) really gets around, if there are in fact alleged multiples of these creatures running around america surely there would be eveidence of some kind somewhere other than an out of focus film of something that looks suspiciously like a guy in a gorrilla suit
