As far as the ranchers and loggers they are usually busy at work, I suppose. But surely these days they are all carrying phones with cameras.
Fishing guides always have cameras with them to take pix of what their clients have caught. Maybe the event happens so fast when one is unprepared.

As far as not leaving bones or remains after death around: this place is over run with deer, yet in twenty years I've only seen deer remains twice. Also plenty of bear, fox, coyote, elk - and never run across their remains in the wild.
