Yes. I used bead & cove strips so I wouldn't have to manually adjust each angle. Paired with a fast setting carpenters' glue, I did the entire back yesterday.

Groggy like rope binding!

It looks great - any chance you could show a little more of the process? I'd love to see the individual bits pre-glue. :thumbsup:
 
1) Take bead and cove strips like these (not my photo) and cut them at a consistent angle so that the distance from flat to flat is the height of the binding. I used 80 degrees. Ninety degrees would be easier but not look as purdy. It's the angle that make the three colours look like twisted rope.
2) glue them in alternating colour pattern
3) round over
