I was trying to find a picture of a club with a fist on the end to reconcile “fist test” and “club.” All I can say is, don’t google “fist club” at work.
This got weird. I blame AI and auto-correct

So, the binding. Are those individual pieces that you fitted one-by-one?
Yes. I used bead & cove strips so I wouldn't have to manually adjust each angle. Paired with a fast setting carpenters' glue, I did the entire back yesterday.

It looks great - any chance you could show a little more of the process? I'd love to see the individual bits pre-glue.
1) Take bead and cove strips like these (not my photo) and cut them at a consistent angle so that the distance from flat to flat is the height of the binding. I used 80 degrees. Ninety degrees would be easier but not look as purdy. It's the angle that make the three colours look like twisted rope.
