Well, why not email Schecter and tell them the story - sometimes manufacturers will give you pleasant surprises. They might just offer to take care of it for you.
Not what you want to hear when you want to use your new toy (and a really pretty one, too) but worth trying. Sounds like a bad component - BUT - just a thought - make sure that the battery connections are good, the battery wires aren't broken or pulled loose. You already tried two fresh batteries, so that's out.
I did email Schecter yesterday. I got an automated email, but nothing real yet. The owner said it's been in the case for the past 2.5 years and he didn't have an amp to test it. He asked how I wanted to handle it. I feel better, just disappointed!
Just an FYI, Schecter has a "custom" shop but they don't do any custom work!
I might swap out the bridge one day, or I might just look at the ol Model T.
