Pulled the trigger on a Silver Metallic Raiden Deluxe! The free case was the hammer! Should have it Monday, July 19th! I'll use it along with my Silver Metallic Ibanez SR300 at our new contemporary service starting August 1st. :hyper:

I put a new pair of EMG 40P5's along with a new Aguilar OBP-2TK in my Elite-5. Sounds killer now and it's still wired as 9 volts. I've left my Studio-5 stock for the time being, but if I decide to upgrade it, I'll install a new pair of EMG CS40's along with an Aguilar OBP-3 into it.

Did you notice a big change in sound when you did this? I'm thinking about upgrading my EMGs in my 4 string. I actually don't like the tone the bass is currently giving off. I think my $175 Yamaha can get the tone I want better than my Elite.

Before the change, I liked everything about my Elite-5 except for its tone. That's why I swapped out the p/u's and preamp. Now it's I love everything about it. It's a killer bass now.

Yes, that's quite strange. I wonder what strings and tunings each person is using.

Well to answer your question, both of my Schecter's are tuned standard A-440. Both now have Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Bass-5 (45-130) #2836 strings installed on them.

Looking at the pic of the bridge on RickeyGedde's Extreme-5, i've never seen a bridge on any bass setup backwards like this one.

Just found this forum and came straight to the Schecter thread. I'll get pics of my Stilletto Elite-5 later.

My first bass had a bridge that would move to that position on its own, thing couldn't keep intonation for more than an hour. Doubt this is the case on Rickey's beast though!

Damn, that's nice! I don't think they're asking too much for it, but that's just me...although, with it being a 5'er, I'd pass on that particular one.

Fun Schecter Fact - for those who don't know, Robert DeLeo was a Schecter employee before STP hit it big, and both the Model T and the Diamond J are his designs.
