Yeah that is a great looking bass OP. Just realized that it's neck through! Now I need to find one of those to go with my 004!

It's probably a one-off prototype, DCGL has stocked many prototypes from Schecter over the years, so good luck finding another. Sucks that most of their coolest prototypes have never made it into production, this bass is easily superior to the 004 and Stargazer in every way imo.I didn't realize they made a neck-through version of this.
Too bad it's not a 5...
I played one and fell in love with it. I wish I could find one nowBazinga! I picked this up in January off CL. It's the 004 which I believe predates the Stargazer.

thanks manI like your Schecter there Ratfink. I especially like that model. The dark color scheme and neck through look great on that one. Congrats on the new bass man!
Ya this one was made in South Korea. But it's active only@Rattfink Does it say where your bass was made? Curious if it was South Korea like my 004? Also does it have a push/pull active/passive switch on the volume knob?
They didn't realy have any specs on it, but if you let me know what your looking for I can figure it out. I will check the headstock when I get home for the "Proto" stamp. Post up some pics of your Stargazers I would love to see them.I love the Schecter Stargazers. I have a 4 in Vintage Sunburst with a pair of SGD Neo's in it and Tone Monster SBK-3AD preamp and Schecter Stargazer 5 string in Crimson Ghost finish (proto-type) with the EMG's and the SBK-3AD preamp as well. I have numerous other basses but those two are my main basses. I love them!
Mine are bolt on though! Would love a a neck through. Do you have any specifics on that particular one? Does it have PROTO pressed into the back of the headstock?
Got to give it up to DrumCity Guitarland, they pack more crap into that store then anyplace I've ever been. I bought a drum kit for my son there once, it took them like 30min to find all the hardware for it. Good people that work there too, never felt presser to buy or attempt to up-sell me.It's probably a one-off prototype, DCGL has stocked many prototypes from Schecter over the years, so good luck finding another. BTW can anyone give me a recommendation on strings for this bass? Normally I run EB Steel Slinkys, and I assume they would be fine, but would be willing to try something new on a new bass.

I know this post was from a while back but that model is my favorite one. What did you have to pay when you picked that one up back in better times?Bazinga! I picked this up in January off CL. It's the 004 which I believe predates the Stargazer.
