School dress code

I think these rules are perfectly fine. I went to private school for 17 years and I learned that uniforms make a big deal. I had to wear a button down (light blue or white), khakis/slacks with no side pockets. Either brown or black shoes, no two tune colors. A tie, and a sweater. Deviations from the rule would result in JUG (detention).

The amount of effort people put into following a trend or dressing a certain way to appeal to others is so ridiculous. Do not give me that "oh but there comfortable" crap. You wear nut hugging jeans wrapped half around your @ss so that you cannot move and say you are comfortable, then I question the quality of your bed.

No one wants to see your boxers, I do not want to see girls with g strings pulled up their crack so far that I can see it chillen on her sides. That screams STDs! Be happy you do not have to wear a uniform and suck it up. Perhaps a bit more discipline in the public school system can do this country a lot of good.

Not that I've seen. Changes would have been posted on the school website or emails sent out to parents, neither has happened except for an email complaining about all of the new dress code violations that nobody knew about.

Wow, I mean, I still stand by my previous point, but I do realize this situation a bit more now. I think I would be pretty pissed if I did back to school shopping, went their to find out that there is a new, unpublished rule dictating that certain things cannot be worn.

In return, I would purposely urinate on the principles desk and tell him it was an accident.. cause ya know... accidents happen.

My school was pretty lax. One time I wore a tow chain around my neck with a padlock just to see if I could get away with it. One of the goth girls actually came up to me and asked me how I could wear it with all that metal being so cold against my neck.... (It was November I think)

banning skinnies?!?!?! are you kidding me?!?!?! our school is allowed pretty much any jeans we want and shorts have to have 4" inseam. no boxers showing for guys and no really deep cleavage for girls. nothing unreasonable. but SERIOUSLY are girls supposed to low ride with baggy gangster jeans or what?

Yeah, that would be quite the distraction. I remember being high school age, and pretty sure I would have walked around being a piece of lumber all day.

Maybe it's because I am getting OLD now, but I find a well fitting pair of dress pants on a well fit lady more of a pleasant distraction than most any of this other stuff.

Around 15 years ago, the school i was in tried to instore school uniforms!

80% of the school went on strike! We went to school but instead of going to class we just sat in the yard, it lasted 3 days!
By the end of the second day we had news crews and helicopters around our school!

The uniforms where never seen and everybody was happy!

Good times!

Hahahahahaha it's my senior year and I don't feel like getting kicked out of a BS school while I'm trying to apply for colleges:P if I was still a freshman I would totally prank the higher ups!

Have you worn a pair? They really aren't uncomfortable. I have larger legs and I have never felt uncomfortable in them.

Never have, and never will. Cannot imagine anything pleasing about them. I usually like to get dressed in the morning and feel safe with the idea that if I got into a fight, had to evacuate a place, or feel like moving about quickly, I can easily do so in my jeans.
