I think these rules are perfectly fine. I went to private school for 17 years and I learned that uniforms make a big deal. I had to wear a button down (light blue or white), khakis/slacks with no side pockets. Either brown or black shoes, no two tune colors. A tie, and a sweater. Deviations from the rule would result in JUG (detention).
The amount of effort people put into following a trend or dressing a certain way to appeal to others is so ridiculous. Do not give me that "oh but there comfortable" crap. You wear nut hugging jeans wrapped half around your @ss so that you cannot move and say you are comfortable, then I question the quality of your bed.
No one wants to see your boxers, I do not want to see girls with g strings pulled up their crack so far that I can see it chillen on her sides. That screams STDs! Be happy you do not have to wear a uniform and suck it up. Perhaps a bit more discipline in the public school system can do this country a lot of good.
