Anyone know how it compares to this:

I'm assuming he tried this out before creating his own so I'm wondering if it really is more comfortable. I will always pay anything for a comfortable strap.

Those cheap leather straps are so thin that the holes expand and the bass comes off after a while. I had one and threw it out after 6 months. Not a great comparison to the OP's strap honestly.

Exactly, except you're wrong. They're quite thick and I've had the same ones for years. I don't go easy on 'em either.

I watched the video when the first round came out. Thought they looked nice then. Got an email for 2nd batch today. First batch sold out in a day. I just posted this in case anyone else was interested.

Mine's glove-soft and comes in a dozen colors or more, too.

$75 for a $150 strap is a GREAT deal. What kind is it?

I had the same exact strap and that's what happened to me. Additionally, it just does not compare to the type of strap the OP posted. Speaking from experience, as the straps I use now are far thicker than the Planet Waves.

If the strap works for you, that is really all that matters at the end of the day.

If so I'm a sucker for British made goods. Been wearing the same pair of U.K. made Doc's for the last 6 years and I collect British made pipes and tobacco. I think I paid nearly $100 for my Levy's and the construction on Scott's strap looks so classic. It's not cheap but I really have no issue with the price of nice handmade goods.

I have one from the first round - 4 inches wide. It is a very comfortable and extremely well-made strap. I am sure it will outlast me. I have several Italia straps and like them very much, but this strap is a bit more comfortable with padding.

Its a nice looking strap, I have a Levy's deluxe padded strap that think was about $100. Its hard to remember, I had shopped for a while to find a nice strap for my G&L; so when I found one I liked, I just bought it, wasn't worried over the price.
local Sam Ash & GC mostly have a large inventory of junk $20. straps that they shouldn't even charge $3.99 for If I were in the market for a new strap I'd probably order one of these. Thing is I can't tell if its $117. or $147.
Not sure why someone would care about the SBL logo. Its a nice looking Logo; would not bother me in the least. Do you worry over the logo on the headstock of your bass or the front of your amp? Do you pull the Ford emblem off the grill of your car?

Full Disclosure: I recently removed the MarkBass logo from the front of my recently acquired 210 cab, but only because I always use it vertically and I thought it looked dumb being sideways all the time. I had no objection to the logo otherwise.

I'm just not a fan of the logo. If I'm going to spend that much on a strap, I want to like the way it looks in its entirety. Overall, it looks really nice...except (for me) for the logo. If I ever purchased an Aguilar cab, I'd probably remove that logo, as it's another one that I don't like. However, since it can be removed, it wouldn't stop me from purchasing it. To each his own. This looks like a really nice strap, and it sounds like it's right in the price ballpark for a hand-tooled leather strap.
