When I go to the website it shows $117. But right next to the price of $117 it also has in smaller font $147. I didn't see any options available, so I'm curious as to what the $147 is about.
It does look like quality and hand tooled leather at that price is pretty good. About 2 years ago I bought a new leather purse, made here in the US by Duluth Pack. After 5 years in a row of replacing 60 to 80 dollar purses every year that were made in China, the USA made product with a lifetime guarantee hand tooled from bison leather for 200 seemed like a deal. She loves it. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.
The one strap I paid for that was completely worth the money is my duo strap. Worth every cent.

I have two of these straps. The neo and the chocolate Damien Erskien model. A bit pricey but I will never go without it. Saves my shoulders best investments i have made.

I have a Franklin leather strap that has been around about 5 years, a Comfort Strapp for the past 3, but my $20 Planet Waves nylon strap has lasted me since 2009 so far. I can't see spending 3 figures on one - $60 for the Franklin nearly broke my cheap, cheap heart!

These straps aren't for people that think they're a foolish waste of money, or for the people that can't afford them. If people are happy with their non-elitist 5 for 10 Musicians Gear straps and one step above Planet Zaganoid straps, that's great too. I own a couple Levys that are darn near retired and currently use a Neo Tech. I love the Neo Tech because it almost feels like it's not there and performs its function well, but I happened to misplace it the other day (because dumb) and grabbed my black&tan Levys that I've had almost as long as I've been playing and it felt very good.
Something about the cool feel of the padded leather and the way it sat on my shoulder felt like home. I don't think wide, padded leather straps are a waste of money under $150 if they're comfortable and have a good company that stands behind their product. My shoulders are paying the price for years of using run of the mill nylon straps because before that, all I cared about was that it didn't fall off.

The only strap I could see myself spending primo money on would be a strap that spreads the weight over both shoulders if there is such a thing. Maybe I'll take a stab at making something like that myself some day.

~21" of padding + another 7" of the 3.75" wide where you lace the other part of the strap through the slots to adjust the length.
Something about it feels very substantial when you pick up the bass. The wide strap supports the bass all the way down to the kidneys.
The logo is pretty indistinguishable from more than about a foot away. Doesn't bother me in the slightest.
The strap does absolutely nothing that a $10 nylon strap doesn't do. But I like nice stuff. And I can afford it. And I don't have room for another bass. Nor am I gassing for one. But now the strap that used to be on the P bass is lonely and looking for work....
And the new Jack Casady bass is coming out next month. Hmmm, maybe I am gassing for a new bass...

I'm sure it's nicer than Levy's MSS2-4 straps by a good amount. However, a 4" Moody is still top dog for me.

I have eight basses. All of them except my Gibson T-bird wear either a basic Perri's or Levy's $15 2 1/2 inch black leather strap or one of my guitar straps. The T-bird wears a Gibson Slingshot strap. At $75 it is the most I've ever paid for a strap. And it is great. I like SBL. A lot. But $115? I don't think so. My wife would kill me.

Yes, they do make one of those and it comes complete with a fanny pack and penny loafers. I think Damien Erskine endorses it, and he also comes with a fanny pack and penny loafers.
