I bought one..purely because my initials are SBL. ha! Monogrammed specifically for me! All joking aside I was weary of spending the $$$ on the SBL strap. Well, it's the only strap I've used for a year and it still looks brand new and is very comfortable I'm pleased and will buy another one if they become available again.

FWIW - I just got one. I'm amazed. I've spent money before on $60-$70 straps that cannot compare with the SBL strap. I have a jazz bass that is close to 9-pounds. Standing for more than a short time was a challenge on my back and shoulder. I was (reluctantly) considering a short scale bass solely because of the weight issue. This strap makes a big difference in at least a couple ways. First is the perception of weight. Seriously, the bass now feels light! Second, with the right length adjustment my bass now sits right where I want it to without any balancing or counterbalancing on my part. Although this strap costs more than some others, the price is much less than a different bass that I didn't really want anyway. Very pleased! Oh, I am not affiliated with SBL in any way. I am just so happy with the big difference the strap makes for me. And, I fitted it with the Schaller strap locks (newer versions are great!), so I can use this strap with any other bass that I might get later.

These are the best straps I've used and I think they are worth the money. I have 3 now. I was hoping more would be forth coming but COVID 19 has put a halt to any new batches for a while and it had been a year and a half since the last one. I agree about the new Schaller strap locks, I like them a lot better than the older ones.

Yep! It ain't cheap, but it's a _very_ good strap.

I have two, and the new design of Schaller straplocks installs easily. I was able to get a set of the old design onto my first Scott strap, but it took some fussing. The new design (with a longer threaded part) installed eezy-peezy.

I had the same experience I have the old and newer Schallers and the EB straplock installed on my 3 straps. The original Schaller was a pain to get on compared to the newer ones which I like much better. In fact thanks for saying that I think I'm going to swap out the old straplock on my strap since I have a newer set knocking around from my recent p bass build.
