I bought one the first go round because i liked the color, specs and was curious. It did take a bit to arrive in Canada. The Strap is very comfortable even with my Jazz and Warwick bass(my two heaviest). The quality is top notch and the only time someone MIGHT notice the logo is when they come up to ask why your guitar only has 4 strings

Are there cheaper leather straps? Sure but i like nice things and this is a nice thing. I've spent a lot more on a lot worse. Im happy with my purchase

I also live in canada, other than the SBL selling price, did you had to pay custom fees?

At some gigs I go from standing up to sitting on a Woodskin Cajon. I'd like a good quality leather strap that can quickly be adjusted for length without taking it off the bridge end of the bass and having to pull it through the ladder end and re-routing it. I currently have two set at different lengths but still have to take them off the bass (after taking the Grolsch bottle-top strap-locks off) to change over.

Very well crafted strap.

Good looking (see pic )

3.75" wide
~21" of padding + another 7" of the 3.75" wide where you lace the other part of the strap through the slots to adjust the length.

Something about it feels very substantial when you pick up the bass. The wide strap supports the bass all the way down to the kidneys.

The logo is pretty indistinguishable from more than about a foot away. Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

The strap does absolutely nothing that a $10 nylon strap doesn't do. But I like nice stuff. And I can afford it. And I don't have room for another bass. Nor am I gassing for one. But now the strap that used to be on the P bass is lonely and looking for work....

And the new Jack Casady bass is coming out next month. Hmmm, maybe I am gassing for a new bass...

This strap must be a SLC thing. I bought one—on impulse—when I got the SBL email. I think they did sell out in one day. The strap took a couple months to arrive.

I like it. It's pretty nice. Great for my heavy MIA P bass. My Ibañez is fairly light, so it's really not needed there.

My only complaint is that it is long enough—but no longer than that.

Is it worth it? I don't know about you, but I'm glad I got it. It's a conversation piece as much as a strap, I guess. YMMV.

In a way you're spot on, but I lose the flexibility of lowering it later on.

I don't think you'll have any problems with it.
There are three holes on the adjustment strap to the bottom of the bass.

My standard strap is set at ~36" I have another that's just around 37" that is workable. I find I not only have different technique/action with a higher strap, but I actually play differently...feel wise. I'm a bit more aggressive with a higher strap and a bit more laid back a bit lower. Odd I know. But there it is.

Mine arrived the other day. Feels very comfy on the shoulder, and the workmanship is great.

Had a question for folks who had one in their hands. I do have a bass fitted with Dunlop straplocks, but usually I roll with Schallers. (They feel more secure to me.) On most straps I have to enlarge the hole for the Schaller to fit, but the One Strap slipped on with a little pushing. Cool--but the end is thick material and I wasn't able to screw the nut onto the lock. A Dunlop's circlip would go, but not the Schaller's nut.

Anybody else run into that? Got a way to get the nut started on the thread..? (I figure it'll be good to go when I tighten it down.)
