Sealed cabinets

I did a lil searching & didn't come up with much, if there is a thread like this -- someone please direct me to it.

I'd like to get a listing of sealed cabinets. I prefer 10" speakers in sealed cabs. I was playing a SVT-CL through a SVT 8x10, but some theft in WA changed all that.... while searching for replacement gear, I started wondering what other sealed cabs are out there....

If you want the best sealed cab (and believe me, you do), then you want the Bergantino NV610 as the previous poster mentioned.

That's pretty much all the list you need right there. See if there's one near you to give a listen.

I don't own one, but I have a friend who does. It kills.

My old trusty (1/8th'o'SVT) Fender BXR-210 is sealed and it sounds lovely.

I believe that Ampeg SVT-210HE and the SVT-410HE are sealed, as well as the SVT-810E. The Sadowsky that was mentioned is ported however, much alike the HS-210.

Absolutely nothing wrong with sealed cabs though. They will lack the amount of lows that a bigger ported cab has, but they take better to a low boost from an EQ than a ported cab.

Both my Mesa Powerhouse cabs are ported. 2x10-(rear ported) and 1x15-(front ported)

I know you said your looking for a small cab, but I'll add the info that the NV610 is only 3 ft tall, under a hundred lbs, and sounds spectacular with my SVT at all volume levels.

I have 2 Gallien-Krueger SBX 410's and they are sealed (infinite baffle). They go lower than the ampeg 410 He series and handle more power. They sound great, aren't too expensive, and are average in weight(85 lbs.) but they don't like to be under powered! They love to be played with GK heads. The more head room the better they sound. You can ckeck them out at Guitar Center.

Sealed cabs tend to have a bit more punch to them, they are usually a bit more mid strong, with a smooth bass end, but very little ultra lows.

Ported cabs tend to be a bit more balanced, with a stronger high end and a more prominent low (from the port).

Sealed cab + tube amp = ultimate sound for playing live (IMO/IME of course)

Those Yammie 110's are long discontinued (a couple of years at least), and ported (pretty sure).

You might want to try GK Goldlines - heard their 10's are pretty good.

And you should search some more. ;)

Glad the info keeps rolling in... and I've done more/better/different search terms since this post. The Berg seems great, but it isn't at all what I'm looking for right now. Honestly, I'd replace my 8x10 in a heartbeat right now -- if I could. Basically, I'd like something smaller to use with the B-15R I have.. that 15" just ain't my thang.
