Sealed cabs

Is the 'Fridge the only sealed cab worth looking at? Seems the trend now is ported cabs with either mids or tweets. Any sealed 610 cabs that have all the magic/mojo of the 'Fridge but w/o the size and weight? (I don't want to stack a 210 on top of a 410.)

Right now, I have a fEARful 15/6, (ported, with a mid) and a GB Uber 410 (ported with a horn tweet). Both are excellent cabs.

I have an Orange TB1000, it's a keeper for me as the lunchbox form factor is a big plus, and I like the tone. I also have a Demeter VTBP-M-800D. Great amp, small form factor, but I'm not married to that one.

I was considering adding a tube head to my stable, (Perhaps an SVT, V4B, maybe even a Reeves) and wanted to delve into the classic tone I grew up with in the 1970's.

There was a guy here getting together an order for a last run of Berg 610, but they were just for the Tweeter version. Ideally, I'd like to research just a 10" design. (I want to experience my pant legs flapping, seems just the 'Fridge owners are claiming that. :smug: )

Used gear seems to fit my budget better these day.

+1 to this list, particularly the Berg cabs. I have/gig an NV610 and it just nails that punchy, low-mid thing in a smaller/lighter package than the traditional fridge. Having said that, in the Ampeg line up, there is also the 115HE, a very nice, old-school sealed 1x15 that brings the punch. TB members report good things about the sealed 210AV cabs too. So, lots to consider.

According to the ad-copy, Jim's newer T versions of the NV series cabs have the tweeter out of the circuit when the L-Pad is dialed all the way down. I don't know if that's true or not, but my NV412T sounds like there's no tweeter when the L-Pad is all the way down. It sounds great with it up or down. Just a fantastic cab all around. The NV610T and NV215T would also both likely be wonderful.
