Searching for a Short Scale

I haven't read the entire thread, so this may be repetitive. My recommendation would be to look into a Gibson SG - you can get a good deal on a pre-owned model if money is a concern. From your stated choices, I'd say pound for pound, the Jaguar is the best bang for your buck. I threw in a set of EMG Geezers and got sounds similar to one of my American Fenders, and it weighs something like slightly over 7 lbs IIRC. You may also want to feel and play a Fender Mustang, which have become a popular bass on stage.

However you decide to go, good luck in your search

I sent them an email. I can't find a single Short Scale anywhere and none of their authorized dealer carry them. Full scale are abundant but the short scale seem to be unobtainable

If you hear back from them please let me know. I’m extremely interested in buying one and all listings on reverb are in Europe. Not a deal breaker, but I would prefer to find one closer to home.

Check out the MIM Stu Hamm Fender Urge. They're 32" scale, light as feathers, and stupid playable with lightning fast necks. Reverb prices on these are really inflated right now for some reason, but I got mine off Music Go Round for $550 shipped barely over a year ago. I had a local tech do a Nick Campbell-esque mod on it where we replaced the neck pup with a Mojotone UK Goldfoil and the bridge was rerouted for a Mojotone UK Jazzmaster bass pup. Then we removed all electronics so I can run it dead passive. It sounds killer, with either flats, rounds, or tapes. I got invited to jam with the guys from Worship Tutorials late last year, so you can see it in action here:

MUAHAHA! Good! Give in to the GAS! I got mine through my local dealer w/ a trade in on an epi vintage pro bird.
Did I mention it comes with a very luxurious fitted and shaped OHSC?:D The attention to detail put in it is also something else. It doesnt show so well on the advert pictures, which is surprising. It's almost like they want to keep it a secret. Look, they even put a tiny H on the switches!:D I took the liberty of taking some photos of mine. Enjoy (or dont, up to you :D)

This is not helping!! I've reached out to them, hopefully they will be able to get me in touch with a reputable dealer.
