Oh.. ok... I thought you were going to say that they made it worth less, as if they were dumbing down the SATs.
Nope - increased the size by 1/3. Now people have to prove they are literate and can critically think.

Please don't be offended by this, but you sound exactly like my father! I love my father, by the way, but he drives me nuts sometimes!
You can say "I don't need any reporting from the news" but it doesn't mean you don't need to get accurate facts from somewhere. Where do you get the facts that your common sense needs to form opinions and conclusions? How can anyone create anything of value on a foundation of half-truths and errors? Inaccurate reporting makes it impossible for us to make informed decisions. It creates that half-cocked condition my dad seems to like. A dangerously misinformed public is off to the polls! OHHHH, NOOOO!
To your second point, no one suggested that the potential for problems didn't skyrocket when the party hats came out. All the authorities, including the White House, agree it did not get substantially higher than it always is since they got caught.
What concerns me the most about the situation (assuming the broad strokes are somewhat factual) was the scope. You get a few close buddies together, they might stretch out a little, and do one or two things that could have deep and bloody ramifications. This group was too large, and they committed too many different potentially career-ending stupid acts too far out in public.
It might have been a matter of mass hysteria, or maybe some of the locals tabbed them all for a joke, but I think the most likely answer is that they have a major league culture problem over there.
A little of the arrogance that comes from knowing you protect the president and thinking that makes him your buddy who will protect you, the junior high locker room behavior that comes out whenever three or more men get together, the feeling of invincibility federal employees get from knowing it is hard to get fired, the excruciating boredom of doing the same simple tasks over and over again, and way way too much booze.
They always talk about election years in hushed tones, because they are very stressful times for them. I'll bet they'll really remember this one.
That's the amazing part. You CAN'T be dumb, and get hired by the Secret Service. An attorney friend of mine took the test when he was younger, and said it was bar none, the most difficult test he has ever taken, including anything done in law school.
And smart people do dumb things. They are not always smart, like a blue car is always blue. Smart people are imperfect, human. Every smart person I know has blown it at one time or another. Except me, and some of these saintly TB guys, apparently.
Again I do not need news reports on the inaccuracies or accuracy of what the world knows should not even be happening...
..
But you should want to know what happened.
Im an incredibly smart person who has made many a bad decision in my time.
You sound like my long lost brother. Except I do something stupid daily.
Everyone needs to lighten up. Who doesn't enjoy a good prostitute from time to time? Sounds like a fun party.
All it takes is one prostitute for the history books, as being a big help in the assassination of the president of the USA.
If one were to partake in hookers and blow, I don't think there would be a better place than Colombia.
No matter Palin's buffoonery, she IS a MILF! Anyway, the agent is a dumbass. Even local yokel me knows not to post work related stuff on facebook!
I used to act under the guise that I was adopted, as it made me feel better as a youth who couldnt relate tot he rest of my family... maybe I am your long lost brother. Is your Dad from Jamaica?
Im pretty sure I do something stupid daily as well. Multiple times a day, in fact.
I'm game, let's go! TB GTG in Colombia everyone!!!
I not really sure, because this guy, sometimes he makes me think he is not really my father!
"MY MIND IS MADE UP!"
And smart people do dumb things. They are not always smart, like a blue car is always blue. Smart people are imperfect, human.
If I can do lines off of Sofia while ___________ Shakira, I will give away all of my boutique basses and play an SX P bass for life.
If your definition of a dumb thing is letting your significant other catch you checking out the waitresses tail, sure. If your definition of a dumb thing is a work-related endeavor where you nail a hooker and don't pay her...then we're at odds on how far to take the idea that "smart people do dumb things". In the first example, IMO, the person is still considered 'smart'. In the second example...no intelligent human being pulls that stunt. Sorry - not in my book.
I'll skip the lines and maybe change it to body shots, but I'm right there with you!
