Yeah, it's true different types of ammunition can penetrate varying levels of bullet resistant vests. But knives will usually go through most vests except for ones with trauma plates inserted.

Soft vests will typically stop .22LR, shotgun and handgun rounds (depends on the specific vest obviously). You're right, without some sort of metal/ceramic/polyethylene plate they won't stop a knife.

On a side note, my local PD purchased some M4A1s earlier this year. Hopefully we (the explorers or "cadets") might get to try them out at the range when we do our next firearms training course. I know some depts. have allowed their explorers to shoot the autos at the range to see what it's like.

Actually I didnt insult a mod, I insulted an ex mod who insulted me first. I did probably break many rules though, insulting members who also insulted me first. I never insulted anyone who did not insult me first though, so if the mods are fair, and seeing as I dont know any of them I have no idea wether they are or not, you bunch will be surely banned with me.

I'm sure it will be explained to you, but there is a big difference between making general French jokes, which no one could actually take as serious, and directly calling someone a p*&&y. You'll learn these things when you mature a bit.

Actually the line is drawn when the person you're making jokes at asks you to stop, which I repeatedly did. The line also draws when the person you've been offending apologises to you sincerely and you keep at them like you didnt give a damn. If the mods are fair, you'll be banned with me.
