Well, John Patitucci is the first famous guy that I'd think of as an example of the rewards gleaned from hard study with teachers. But in the end, it's the things that he has taught himself along the way that help make him stand heads above so many others......talent is a gift, ability can be coached, knowledge/facts can be gleaned many ways, but originality and self awareness can only be self realized.....imho

On the other hand, an ARCTODIDACT, has something to do with PALEOLITHIC, glacier movements, tool makers and hunter gatherers I think. I don't know ANYBODY here, who could fall into that description Do you?
