Semi-hollow Bassists

Not strictly a bass player, but Thom Yorke occasionally uses a Coronado II for playing the song Harrowdown Hill

Finally, Josh Homme used a Yamaha SA-70 for recording of the track Mantra w/ Dave Grohl (probably got the idea from his friends John Paul or Nick O'malley, who both have owned/used one)

So, who used semi acoustics? The only Gibson users I could come up with were Glen Cornick (from Jethro Tull a long time ago) and Andy Fraser (I think). Maybe Chas Chandler? Other brand players include Jack Casady, of course (signature model Epiphone, and Guild Starfires early on), Phil Lesh on a Starfire during the early days of the Dead, and Paul McCartney if we count the Hofner as a semi (it does count, doesn't it?).

Who are we missing here?

Thanks tons, folks. I wasn't aware that the Allen Woody bass was a semi (chambered, according to the Epi website). I hadn't realized that Berry Oakley had played a Starfire before putting that Hagstrom pickup on The Tractor. I should've remembered Wyman, and Hooky of course.

And crap, Steve Swallow -- I worked with him a while back, and he played his Citron, which sounded awesome. I suspect that he'd sound awesome on an old cardboard box strung up with rubber bands...

And one I'd forgotten: Oteil Burbridge has and regularly plays a Modulus Graphite semi-hollow 6-string

Full disclosure, folks: I own and play a couple (er, three) semis. There's the Epiphone JC with a Dark Star shown in my profile pic; a '60s Starfire I, which I bought after going into a store with the idea of buying a Danelectro 6-string bass and I played it and couldn't leave it in the store; and a real oddity, an Ibanez AGB205 short-scale 5-string semi- (maybe fully-, IDK) acoustic which I bought to ease the strain on my arthritis.

Any more?

Not sure how this has gotten to page 3 without mentioning Justin Meldal-Johnsen. He's use a wide variety of hollowbody and semi-hollowbody basses over the years. Guild Starfires, a Fender Starcaster, a '67 Wildwood Green Fender Coronado (a colour I wish was an option for the Coronado reissue), a Höfner Club, an Eko 995, Vox Cougar and a Green Lākland hollowbody. He's even here on talkbass! (@jmjbassplayer )

Tim Lefebvre has a 1967 Gibson EB-2.

Geddy Lee used a Rickenbacker 4005 on the R40 tour (can't remember which song he used it on though)

Tina Weymouth also used a Höfner Club with the Talking Heads.

Didn't Page come on originally to fill Samwell-Smith's spot (with Beck [who had replaced Clapton] and Dreja on guitars) and then Page and Dreja swapped duties (yielding Page and Beck both on guitar briefly before Beck was fired)? I think the original understanding was that Page was hired to play guitar as soon as Dreja could get up to speed on bass. At least that's my memory of how it went: correct me if I'm wrong.
