From this minute on , I’m calling my White Eastwood Classic IV the White Budgie !
I once had an Epi Rivoli , and sold it , and regretted that. So when the Eastwood popped up on kijiji I jumped and snagged it for a good used price.
It sounds better than the Rivoli. And I like having a good sized hollow body around.

The Grez Mendocino Bass is also a great looking, great sounding sustainable short scale semi hollow bass (loosely based on the Danelectro Shorthorn)
Kinda expensive though, but stunning.. and available left handed if you want:

On the other side of the spectrum, probably much less sustainable, are some poorly specced Ali Express bass guitars. Should they even be listed here? I don't know, but I'm somehow intrigued by these instruments. I have a feeling it's crappy stuff, but the looks are OK and they are more expensive than Harley Bentons.

The Gretsch Electromatic 5442 price is misleading.
That price used to always include a Gretsch logoed Hard Shell Case. That stopped a while ago.
I own a 5442, 5123, 6073 and 6128 so I’m speaking from experience.
I also own a Classic 5, which I helped crowd fund.
People who were part of the crowd funding also got a Hardshell Case. I don’t think that happened with the Classic 4. I think when the Classic 4 originally came out you could buy a HSC for extra $$.
Unfortunately Eastwood stopped providing HSC altogether.

The AGB200 and AFB200 came in quite a few other colors/finishes over various model years.
Dillion made two Gibson-ish Semi-Hollow bodied basses. However, they are discontinued and also a bit on the heavy side, but they're really awesome for the price.

Ah, I didn't see that in your original post.
Ibanez did do dbl cuts with the ASB series.
