Ha! That's very true, this is a "music in the park" type scenario I mentioned. We've been included in the summer schedule for every year the last 5 summers. This was at the annual fall festival and we were asked back in Oct '21. Usually people bring chairs, blankets, coolers and sit but this was an unexpected dance floor reaction.

It is nicely decorated and good place to play. Captain Ron is a pretty funny movie but it happens to be the moniker of the owner of this establishment. I had talked in the past about a gig but nothing had materialized yet. Last Friday my wife and I went to eat there and the owner tracked me down. The band originally scheduled to play Sat had cancelled and he wanted to know if we could cover it. Amazingly we were all free and it worked well. Pretty fun night.

Last Sat, post gig, with the owner of the bar. It was his birthday party. Small place that has a capacity of 100 but the best pizza for miles around and always a fun night.

Not a great pic, but it's what I have of me at 55+, since I have only played out three times since Covid turned the world on its head. I'm 55 in the pic, from last year.

I figured I may as well complete the series. This last pic (a screen grab) is from the third (and last) gig since "the before times", spring 2021. Still 55 in the pic, and playing the third of my three basses, a 78 fretless P, pick guard custom painted by my son. The other two basses are a Fullerton era 62RI Jazz and an '85 Rick 4003.

It was just a boiler plate backyard BBQ gig until Mini Elvis showed up! Last summer, I'm 60, the guitarist is 74 & the drummer is 58. Mini Elvis is timeless...
