for those who have played both, how would you compare a guild bisonic to a lazn b90?
would be strung with flats most likely and in the P position

Yes, please!!!When I get some time I want to make a video comparing the Guild BS-1, the Novak BiSonic, the standard B90 and the LZN-B90.
That being said…
I just compared my Guild BS-1 equipped Lincoln to my Armitage with the LZN-B90 and here are some other thoughts. I have DR rounds on both basses and I set my amp flat.
The BS-1 seems to have a slightly hotter output and is also a bit brighter all around.
The LZN-B90 is darker sounding and doesn’t seem to be quite as mid forward as the Guild pickup. Putting the pickup in series mode evens the playing field significantly.
They are still fairly similar in the P position.

Not a fair comparison. The body shapes are different![]()
Yet…You can’t fault me for trying. I mean I have a lot of Serek basses but I don’t have every pickup configuration in every body shape! Ha

Recently intrigued with the Guild in an Armitage, with flats, maybe even medium scale (but that might be too much to ask without going custom)
Super rare it seems, surprised they aren’t as popular of a specification.Been waiting for a maple neck to pop up for months, no luck, not many in the wild
3 of my 5 have maple necks, but they're NOT going nowhere! I think people get 'em & love 'em. I know I do!Super rare it seems, surprised they aren’t as popular of a specification.
Glad you love the tone, but I’d be bummed about neck dive too! I would replace your strap with something wider and grippier. That would likely fix it if it’s just a little bit of neck dive. Of course, that won’t help sitting down, but there’s not a lot to be done about that. You don’t hear of neck dive much on Serek’s, but it’s a possibility when you use lightweight mahogany.I've had my MW2 for about a month now. LOVE IT! So fun to play and the sound is perfect. I can get whatever tone I want with the single knob and my fingers. It also looks amazing.
I am ever so slightly bummed by the fact that it has a little neck dive. It's not bad at all but I explicitly asked for something with no dive - I have some nerve issues in my left shoulder and divey basses make it worse.
Any advice on straps or other ways to fix the issue here? I know there is tons of stuff online but I was wondering if any other Serek folks had this issue.
I feel bad even mentioning it since it's such a minor problem with an otherwise great bass - but I am stewing about it a bit and wanted some advice.
Thanks!
