So, with EQ'ing, other basses can't do anything?
I am sorry my bass is inferior.
Ray Charles ~ Buck Owens ~ CRYING TIME AGAIN ~ - YouTubeIt's a fair observation and something that has been stated plain as day numerous occasions on TB.
Hell, half of us boutique players haven't even heard our own basses in a solo mix.![]()

Congrats!Just keepin' it real. I've got no problem with P basses, but hae been told by the P Bass brigade in plain English that my basses will never work as well as theirs. Hell, my P/J basses can't quite possibly get a true P Bass sound, or so I've read on TB.
Many years ago, many users couldn't praise P Basses without bashing them thar fancy coffee table basses with too many strings and all them damn knobs. I'm not even exaggerating.![]()

Paragraph #1) This was and still is true.

This isn't "keeping it real". Claiming people have said "many times" that basses other than Precisions "can't do anything" is just plain silly. So is coming into a thread to harrass a poster because some other people who like P basses gave you a hard time years ago. Get over the butthurt already. It's a fair observation and something that has been stated plain as day numerous occasions on TB.

One thing p can't do is - please every bassist's personal preference. Thank god for that, because we would all sound the same, right?![]()
