SG & EB Bass Club

He has the bass player beard. All he needs is the beanie to complete the look.

I have that particular model. Eb-3 60's model short scale limited edition japan only.scored it for 80 usd! Couple of dings…..but added a hipshot bridge and set up….it's my number one now. Never had a short scale before….but I really like it for fast runs and bending. Great playing bass!

At 80 bucks, that's the deal of the century. Killer score.

Epiphone just started offering these again: Epiphone 940-EB3CS Hardshell Case for EB3 Bass
I saw that. I'm not sure, but I think our friend ajkula66 told me once that the level is way off, and there has to be some quantity of padding stuck under the bass' body or it puts a lot of strain on the neck. I saw a couple of others on Sweetwater that make me curious, one is for the SG guitar, and the other's for the Embassy bass.

Take careful measurements and research the specs of cases.

Edit:I saw a soft case-not gigbag-advertised on GC's website. According to the given spec, my 67 NR TBird would fit. And it would've. If I cut out a coupla inches of padding, or lopped off an inch+ offa the headstock.:banghead:
Back to GC.:(

Yes, I've said that...:)...and still stand by my words.

I am at the point of ordering a couple of custom cases for my SG and LP shaped basses from a gentleman around here who crafts them. They won't come cheap, but the annoyance will stop once and for all, or at least I hope so.

There should be a thread in the strings section where everyone in this club posts what strings they are using.
It should be called: The SG & EB Bass Strings Club.

I wanted to try BEAD tuning on my Epi EB0/3, so I ordered a 5-string set of Pitbull short-scale strings (and just used the bottom four). Tried it at practice last night and they work very well. I'm debating whether to do the same with the Gibson.
